I've been having mine with Morrisons 19p pasta sauce mixed with vegetables from the market (I've found that if you go to the market late in the day they reduce everything and you get more for your money).
I've been really busy today - obviously not with jobhunting as there's still nothing about - I've been looked after my two nephews aged 5 years and 7 months while their mum and dad went to a wedding and I am absolutely shattered! We've made Easter bonnets, been fishing in the canal and been to the park. I was happy to do it for nothing but my lovely sister came to pick them up with four bags of food shopping for me. As I live on my own this will last me ages (and there was chocolate in there:j). I can't believe that I got a bit emotional over 4 bags of shopping - that's how bad things have got.

I've had to apply for JSA again myself. Had no choice because funds are running low for me too.
Never, ever, delay in registering for JSA. The obvious reason is the money you need to live on. The second not so obvious reason is whilst registered on JSA your NI Stamp is also paid for. This means your "contributions" towards your state pension are kept going. Having chunks out of your payment history can mean a reduced pension when you retire. It may seem like a eon away and things may change but not to register is a mistake you may regret.
Visiting the Job Centre to sign on is never nice, I have done it a couple of times without any real problems. I found the secret is YOU run the interview. Walking in and saying "there's nothing about" won't impress. Walking in and saying "I've registered with x/y/z agencies, scanned a/b/c web sites, applied for n jobs - and here's the proof" will get you through and out the door no trouble at all~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Has anyone else found not having a job has made you put on weight? I'm on a serious get fir regime from today. Couldn't fit into my summer shorts which has utterly depressed me. Now I'm on a mission to get fit quick.Saved: £1566.53/ £20000

It's certainly added to me feeling down. Though I've just done 45 mins exercise so going to really try and do that every day now.Saved: £1566.53/ £20000 -

Yeah definately. I have been on a rigid diet all week, which has left me crabbit and hungry, and i'm gonna haul the exercise machine out of the cupboard this weekend.'If honour were profitable, every man would be honourable' Thomas More

Hi all,
Was supposed to be having a day off from the search today. It is my daughters birthday tomorrow so we went shopping and bought all the food that we need for a big family meal on Sunday. I have also spent the day with her on a roller-coaster of emotions, one minute she's rolling around laughing the next she's in floods of tears - roll on bedtime! When do you stop being that excited about birthdays?
My brother has just called me about a job that he had seen for me to apply for so I have just emailed off an application.0 -

I'm glad it's not just me then. It's annoying how it's not just me bank balance it's affecting. Hopefully spending time exercising each day will boost my energy levels as well as I seem to get tired very quickly with nothing to do.Saved: £1566.53/ £20000
