I applied to JSA and got a missed call but going to wait until mid next week to call them back, hoping this new agent with actually get me a job. I know I should do it straight away but I really hated going to that job-centre last year, two months was quite enough and highly depressing for me. Have been living on money I earned from the few months work I did last year but my bank balance is now running very low, which is making me very anxious and stressed. And still waiting for my income tax repayment from last tax year, wonder how long before the Job-centre pays the repayments, hopefully this will be within the next couple of weeks.

Going to 200% focus on studying now
I've had to apply for JSA again myself. Had no choice because funds are running low for me too. To be honest, I didn't think job searching would be this difficult. I mean, I knew it would be hard but no one knows what its really like until they're in that position themselves. I was talking to my nan recently and she told me in the past you could walk straight out of a job and into another one practically the next day.

I had no idea how hard it would be either. Before this the longest I was out of work was 1 month. I just don't see how things can get better. By the end of next month there will be school and uni leavers all looking for work on top of us lot who've already been looking for months. I could do with claiming JSA myself but I doubt I'm entitled to it as my uni situation is complicated.

I could seriously scream, just had a reply back about the assessment i had yesterday for screwfix, i was unsuccessful, i dont know why the email just says "further review of the details you provided against our specification, we regret to inform you that on this occasion we will not be progressing with your application."

    i did everything right,
maybe i could have been more vocal in last exercise but thats the only thing i can think of that could go in my favour, the other exercise i felt i was good as i gave some good answers, despite having experience to do the job again i get rejected,

theres not alot there that i can physically apply for,

i seriously think my last job was a curse as every job ive applied for since i started it ive been rejected,
  • This is my third round of unemployment since leaving uni, one was a month, one was 6 months and this one is at 7 so far :( I know the problem 100% is that I don't drive but seem unable to be able to pass my driving test, got another one coming up. I couldn't live without JSA.

The last few weeks have been awful. I have never felt so defeated by it all. Money is beyond tight and relying on food donations from my family and Tesco clubcard vouchers. I got £16.50 to spend, looking forward to how far I can stretch it. It needs to cover my whole food for May! Spaghetti on toast it is!

£16.50 to last whole of may, jeez, how come so little if you dont mind me asking

It is really tough, I struggle financially and I'm still living at home as I can't afford to move out.

It's maddening isn't it. I also feel cursed by my last job.

How much can I change my CV when it has already been out there for months? Anyone know?
