I got a call from the fantastic outbound sales job :rotfl:

I'll be going in for a trial day on Wednesday and then if I do well I get the job. I've done sales before so I don't see it being a problem. It's just a shame it's such a rubbish job with rubbish pay! But it's 2 minutes along the road and finishes at 3.30pm everyday so I can still carry on setting up freelance. It just means I'll miss out on some networking, which is a shame.

Still, a job is a job, right?

    That's great news, good luck!

Your right a job is a job, you can still keep looking out for something better until your freelance is up and running. Any money is better than no money :)

Found another TA post to start September. They have several posts available and the only job description missing is the one for the posty I'm applying for :rotfl: Luckily I've filled in enough of these now to know the general stuff they want.

My Mom has also found a summer school position going at the local theatre during the summer holidays so I'll apply for that too. I'm determined to get something lined up for September

I don't know if I have missed you posting about it already, but what happened about the job you got offered last week? Did you not manage to get the hours sorted?

    Exactly!!

Nothing again today, I am getting really worried now. I thought I had found a retail job but when I went to apply it was only 6 hours a week. I could manage part-time, but 6 hours is no where near enough!

Oh, and we're going ahead with the holiday :j Thanks for the advice. I will choose to ignore anyone that says to me "I wish I could afford a holiday without a job".

I've not had the confirmation letter through yet so still waiting on that before I call them. Hoping I hear from the Kumon study centre job though as I'd rather do that, at least it's within the right line of work. We'll see what happens anyway :)

    Quick question regarding application forms:

Do you type them or hand write them?

Any that get posted to me I obviously hand write them. All the school based posts I've been applying for I've downloaded the form for. At first I typed them but have started hand writing them. No idea why I changed, I thought it may look better but now I'm not sure.

So what do you do? And which looks better?

I type mine, but to be honest I think hand written looks better, it's easier to see the answers rather than it all just looking like one big typed page... if that makes sense :rotfl:

I'm just too lazy to do it myself!

  • I prefer to type as my handwriting isn't the nicest and I think with the type of jobs I'm going for they would like to know I'm able to type :rotfl:

I might start typing some then. I thought that with them being school jobs hand written may look good so they can see what my handwriting is like.
