I am completely exhausted, just back from the other interview, it went okay I think but I just try to put them out of my mind once it's done these days.
Supposed to be meeting a friend for a drink (they are paying) later but I just want to sleep!
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
I thought the exact same when I read it
The fact is, people who aren't unemployed at the moment just don't realise how difficult it actually is to find something! They all get on a high horse about it because they assume it CAN'T be that difficult. Don't let it get to you.
i admit i felt like that, i was applying for jobs (whilst in a job) thinking that i could get 1 and it turns out i still cnat get 1 when i cant start asap, didnt think it would as bad as it is0 -
:mad:I could rant all day about peoples perceptions of job seekers. They seem to think we all sit on our bums doing nothing and have no intention of getting a job because £50 a week is so great to live off of, that something will come along for you, I'm sure it will but who knows when... That you are stupid and "should have paid more attention at school". I really could go on for days about some of the things I hear but this is from people who are in work and in lines of work where there is always work available or old people.
Rant over :rotfl: I am avoiding writing a covering letter right now, I so hate them.0 -

I hear what you are saying it does start to get you down. I like to preach the voluntary route for something to keep you busy as it has probably stopped me from going insane for the past 7 months. I have had few interviews just to see the same jobs reemerge a few months later, one job has been readvertised 3 times since! Money is probably the biggest problem, I am living of donations from family too. I find myself trying to go back to basics, the freebies on here are a great distraction too.0

Looks like I finally have a start date for this temp job... Friday apparently and now I'm all nervous.
I hope the rest of everyone's week goes well!

I'm finding voluntary work harder to get than a job. Did a shift in a charity shop but the owner was very rude to me and the one other person there didn't speak to me despite several attempts at conversation so I politely declined from going back. Being sending off applications through the do-it website but no-one has got back to me so far. Meant to be hearing from a community radio station this week, but no joy so far and I'm in the middle of writing a begging letter for another voluntary position.
I'm loving my census job but got nothing lined up for when that finishesTimes is 'ard.0 -
I'm back from my interview. It was ok and I done the best I could. The recruiter said if I was successful then I'll get a second interview. I feel like I keep on going around in circles and not getting anywhere. I'm really tired of the job market situation and it looks like its not going to get better anytime soon.0

Well was so bored I popped into my sisters house to look for jobs - I can't wait for my computer to be fixed....
And there was 2. Manager and assistant manager of gamestation I've just spent an age trying ringer my cv to fit as my last retail experience was about 6 yard ago, and I'm not really qualified.
It was clearly a waste if time as there are bound to be better qualified people out there. But it was making me feel pants to be doing nothing.
