Well, considering that company hadn't seen my CV or asked anything about me I think that was rather easy :rotfl:

Walked in, gave her my CV, she looked at it for all of two seconds. She said that she is phoning people back on Friday to tell them if they were successful or not and then there will be a trial day on Monday. Then she told me that I was the best that had walked through the door so I will definitely be getting a call on Friday :rotfl:

Looks like it might be part time work for NMW while I look for something else then...

Time to leave for the next one now.

Also last night I had the worst night's sleep ever! When I actually was asleep I was having the worst nightmare ever. I can only remember lots of burly men coming to repossess my house and me trying to barricade myself in. I've got a blinding headache now!

Big sympathies for the lack of sleep - if you find any cure please share..... Until then all I can offer is bubble baths as drugs and booze are not the way forward.....

    Sounds positive!

    I need to rant again.

Why do people automatically assume I am thick just because I cannot get a job? I am sick to death of people talking to me like I am stupid. Telling me to join agencies & keep in touch with them on a weekly basis, send spec letters to companies, apply for part-time work, apply for jobs on NMW. I KNOW ALL THIS AND I HAVE BEEN DOING IT FOR MONTHS.

I know they are probably only trying to help, but it does sometimes feel like people are talking down to me.

    Big hugs lexi.

There are some dumb wotsits out there, try to keep your chin up.

Having no pc is driving me slowly mad I can check on here but can't manage to amend and send cv's... So bored I may even face the ironing pile... Haha

I think your JC and maybe a few others might be being use has guinea pigs for what's to come in the future. I can honestly see them either trying the way it is at your JC or maybe everything going online. I doubt any JC will be open in the next 2 years.

yes that is my theory, i ant see it all being done online myself, whats to stop people not actually applying for jobs
  • Its official. I've gone crazy. Today I have cleaned the house from top to bottom. I even pulled all the cushions off the sofas and hoovered them and cleaned behind the cooker!!! I may have to eat some chocolate to help me get over the shock.

I am also fed up with people telling me something good will turn up eventually. I'm not looking for something good, anything will do.

i had it as well, i wanted to say yes i know all that but i kept quiet for soem reason, the guy was actually good and helpful
  • Yet another rejection. A part time admin job in a solicitors office is seemingly beyond my capabilities. Im not even making the interview stage with most things I apply for.

I thought the exact same when I read it ;)

The fact is, people who aren't unemployed at the moment just don't realise how difficult it actually is to find something! They all get on a high horse about it because they assume it CAN'T be that difficult. Don't let it get to you.
