I'm just feeling a bit hopeless at the moment. Where's the chocolate...? ;)

Don't hit the chocolate yet - wait till after lunch and i'll join you.

I know you've been at this longer than me but try to stay positive. Reading about your hard work has inspired me.

I'll join you for the chocolate!! :)

Nimbo is right Drea, you've worked so hard, reading how productive you are gives me the kick up the bum I need to keep trying!!

Things will pay off for us but in the meantime there will be days when we feel down and it's just a case of supporting each other through those days...with a bar of chocolate and a hug :) Keep your chin up. x

I'm in the process of filling out a pretty hideous application form...I have to write 250 words on: “Please detail below your knowledge and/or experience of government departments or the NHS and the context in which they operate"

Any thoughts anyone? My mind has just gone blank!!

Hmm, cos even someone getting it wrong can help you think I would wonder about the role of gov departments in preventative actions and actions that deal with consequences - ie the NHS promoting healthy eating non-smoking vs treating obesity and cancer or the council preventing fly tipping and then dealing with the mess, how much of their efforts should be dedicated to these different elements...
  • In my interview today, what animal should I be? A tiger? A mouse?

Afternoon all. About to leave for my interview soon. I've got a massive headache so I'm going to take a paracetamol to ease it off. I'm a bit nervous but I guess its down to all the rejections I've had. I'm just going to do my best and see what happens.

Just got back form signing on, turns out they're trialling a new idea. You get given 4 forms and you sign yourself off at home and drop the form in at the jc and you do this for your next 4 visits(so i dont have to go to the jc for next 8 weeks). The idea is called drop in, im not sure if its just my jc doing it, i was also offered some help with my cv which should be interesting.

I think your JC and maybe a few others might be being use has guinea pigs for what's to come in the future. I can honestly see them either trying the way it is at your JC or maybe everything going online. I doubt any JC will be open in the next 2 years.
