Well, it's the end of another day of job hunting. This is turning out to be the worst week since I started looking. And there was us thinking things would get better come April. How wrong we were![/QUOTE]

Yeah been same here nothing much at all, job updates have been few & basically crap. So hopefully tomorrow will be better.

The only 2 jobs on the direct gov website yesterday were 'home perfume representative', and 'magnetic jewellery representative'. *sob*

Todays burning question is should I waste 70p on the local paper since for the last 3 weeks there have been 2 jobs in it ?

Good Morning, My positive attitude is telling me that today has got to be better than yesterday! Although it couldn't really be much worse! I found 2 jobs to apply for and neither of them was ideal! Anyone got interviews today?

ARGHH!! I found a job to apply for, but the application form was a PDF file. I used google to find a programme that let me type on to a PDF file. I've spent an hour and half completing the form, tried to save it and they want to charge me £13 for the priveledge of using the site! What a waste of time that was.

Has anyone any ideas other than printing the form out??

    Morning by the way :rotfl:

Morning Lexi, I had one like this a couple of weeks ago, I ended up just printing it out of completing it by hand.
  • Hi all I hope I have got the gist of this thread, if not, please can you re-direct me.
My OH is on a fixed term contract which ends 1st July and so is looking at the job market again.
She is looking in the Food & Foodservice industry around the Southampton area (based but will travel with company car around South Coast/South West/South East areas) for sales, account management type roles.
She has experience in this and is currently in retail for a major confectionary manufacturer covering sick leave.
If anyone has any ideas on who to approach, any jobs going or where to find these jobs (apart from the Grocer, already on there) it would be appreciated.
    Many thanks in advance.

Second round interview this afternoon: full blown panic attack occurring now. Great because today above all things I have to be calm and lovely.
Argh! Going to wear a calm pale pink shirt and pale green jeans, or is this too much colour? The shirt is really soft approachable cotton...

Do I just do some breathing exercises before I walk in the door?
  • Just keep breathing I think!!
  • Morning all. Well this is by far the worst week for vacancies since I became jobless. I can't find anything that is close to what I am looking for (admin so quite a big area). I thought I had found a really good job at the local community college but got to the end of the advert and it said "term time only" so that was that one out of the window. I've got no idea what I'm going to write in my diary for this week. Its only 10am and I'm already bored.
