Argh! Going to wear a calm pale pink shirt and pale green jeans, or is this too much colour? The shirt is really soft approachable cotton...
Do I just do some breathing exercises before I walk in the door?

I used to work in HR although wasn't involved in interviews but the HR Advisors who did the interviewing said to me that most people turn up for interviews wearing a white shirt/blouse and black trousers which means that none of them really stand out visually so it might be a good idea to wear a bit of colour as long as its not too garish.
I've got no idea how to stay calm as I've not mastered it yet - sorry. If you find out let me know!0 -

I thought I had found a really good job at the local community college but got to the end of the advert and it said "term time only" so that was that one out of the window. I've got no idea what I'm going to write in my diary for this week. Its only 10am and I'm already bored.
i would agree with you on that, it started of allright when i was made redundant but ive applied for jobs i like and theres very little left0 -

Hi Folks
As you know, we are always advised to tailor our cv's to the job that we are applying for. That means that we need a slightly different cv for each job role that we apply for.
Just out of curiosity, do most of you do that? If so, how many different versions of your CV do you have?
Thanks0 -
Think employers have stopped advertising for easter / royal wedding. Unless I retrain as a locksmith/chef/cherry picker driver  there's not a lot to apply for in local city.
Area where I live is even worse! P/T cleaning/care/driving at NMW is all that's on offer.0 -

I have never tailored a CV
I know everyone says to do it but I get so many interviews from the one I use I just didn't see the point to be honest. But then most jobs I apply for are admin and admin is pretty much the same for any business I guess.Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
I don't tailor my cv either. I still tweak it here and there but I don't change it for every job role I apply for.0
