  • Good morning fellow jobhunters :) Already checked jobcentre website for my area and nothing new since yesterday and unable to get onto local Jobsite site I use as it's not working properly at the moment

Rejection letter in yesterdays post and no reply to e-mail about job I had interview for nearly 3 weeks ago - not even a no thanks! Have employers stopped telling you they don't want you? Asked for feedback in the e-mail so hopefully will at least get some pointers as to where I went wrong (v. out of practise as hadn't had an interview for over 10 years).

Hope the interview goes really well Livermum best of luck to you. (why can't I find a best of luck / thumbs up smiley - please imagine one added for you Livermum).

Well unless I want to be a care worker (which I'd go for if I could drive since I can't find anything else), a beauty therapist or a vehicle valeter then I have nothing today.

drea what kind of type are you after, anything specific

Admin really, or anything in an office, Reception, etc

Found a couple to apply for on some other sites :)

    Help!!

Just been told that i've got an interview at 4.00 this afternoon through an agency. Nothing fantastic but specifically told not to worry about suiting it up just smart casual. So I thought suit trousers, suit shirt but no tie and jacket. Does that sound okay? Never had this much short notice for an interview before.

What is it for Stew? Would it be better to go suited & booted even though they say it's not required?

    Hi Slinky,

Not my usual kind of work. Order picking and stuff like that but a big international company. They are apparantly very casual in their dress anyway, don't want to outshine the interviewer!

I'd say go with what you suggested above, but put a tie with it i.e. suited but not the jacket maybe. Given it's a warm day you don't want to be boiling hot when you might already be a bit flustered.

    Good luck!

How about a tie and a sports type jacket? (sorry not an expert on menswear so not sure if this is the correct term).

This would be smart/casual but show that you had made the effort to present a smart appearance.
