It's so bad when we're offering our time for free and they won't reply. I've had the same thing with Brownies. I've emailed twice and never got a response. Applied to volunteer as an Administrator at an equestrian centre that works with disabled children and have heard nothing from them either.

Also going to have to cancel one of my agency interviews. Unlike most they want me to pay for my own CRB (most pay it for you) and I just haven't got £44 to spend, especially when there's no guarantee of work.

Just out of curiousity have you sent off for a CRB recently? An agency paid for my new one, and sent it off two weeks ago but still not had anything back. I am wondering how long they are taking to process at the minute.

Signed on today, I love how the people signing you on tell you its best to chase jobs up if they don't reply LOL ... I told him I do chase them up but after a while you get fed up and give up,

In cyberspace no one can hear you scream.

You have to be a bit like Mr. McCawber and believe 'something will turn up’. Keep looking, stay positive and when that opportuity does come along you will be prepared to take advantage of it.

I sent off for one about 2 weeks ago. Well I say sent off for one, I took all the forms and ID into the school I'm volunteering at so I assume they sent them back that week.

My last one was only done in Feb and that took 4 weeks to come back so not too long at the moment.

He doesn't want to know us lot now! :rotfl:
  • Went down my entire website list to try and find something to apply for - absolutely nothing that I could convince myself I was even vaguely qualified for.

Also got a no from job I applied for last week, now need to start preparing for my interview on Friday.

Hope things get better for everyone tomorrow.

Well heard back from the agent at last and it's a no. The other candidate edged it "by a hairline". Nothing I can do but pick myself up again and keep looking and hoping my luck will turn next time.

Hard luck sims, did you get any feedback apart from "by a hairline"? At least you got that far so there has to be something positive about that.

    Hope you find something soon.
