Just an idea... if everyone had their location under their avatar - perhaps we could let each other if we come across a suitable job for another person on this thread?
I am in London... just in case anyone comes across an IT Trainign job that pays 35k plus0 -

I'll keep my eyes openNovember5th wrote: »It's a mare isn't it! But hey, you are getting the interviews
Got an unexpected phone interview in ten minutes, going to be winging it!
It is! It's annoying me now :rotfl: I might get the interviews but it's them I'm rubbish at! Need to start preparing a bit more I think.
Ohhh good luck!Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
Phone interview OK, one possible slip up when talking about bringing services in house (oh so you don't like working with outside agencies) hopefully pulled back from that with examples of working with partners.
Got nervous towards the end, almost panicked, why is that?
Find out if I get to the next stage by the end of the month.
Now I am on the sugar rush and will get a downer later, but bliss to get some experience in on phone interviews which can be very difficult.
She was a good interviewer too.0 -
Afternoon all, hope everyone is having a positive day job hunting.
I was just in the middle of an application form when the post man brought me a letter with an appointment for the job centre for my 13 week interview thing. Typically it clashes with my interview booked next week, but managed to get it changed. Just filling out the self assessment now. Oh I hate that place!0 -
Drea - thanks
November - 10 min gone, you know we are here waiting for the news... difficult to type with fingers crossed
********************
Just had an email telling me that the interview I have for next week is actually for TWO jobs, not just one as I though......
Both within the same company, both coordinating training - just diferent types of training.
ONE thing worries me, there was no salary specified (but this is w hol;e different story/thread LOL) but I REALLY like both JDs and want to work for THAT company so fingers crossed.
Knew about one interview, now confirmation for the second - applied for 2 jobs with them.
This will be half a day assesement/interview - :eek:0 -
November - well done0

Glad it went well, all sounds very positive. I've only had a couple of phone interviews, not sure I like them at all.0 -

I had the maddest one with a major retailer where the guy on the other end of the phone sounded miserable and it was hard to get him to talk.
He then went completely against their own job spec. Most odd, sort of an out of body experience!
Easier to handle with some body language (and charm) in person.
The good thing about this job is that it is a four stage process, so it might be easier to get a look in and prove myself as there are drop out stages, and they may take more chances with more people. I desperately want to get through to take up the challenge of all the stages, great experience which I really need.0
