  • Ahh poor fella.. Do you think Tesco will try and worm their way out of an apology?

Btw you seem really annoyed that they were alive, would it not of been worse if they were dead and rotting?!

    See my response above

Let me ask you something, if you were afraid of say spiders and then you opened something that you are about to cook to eat only to find spiders crawling out of it, what would your reaction to that be?

Oh I wish I hadn't read that. Worms I can deal with, now I'm feeling too freaked out to make any lunch in case spiders come out:(

My Dad opened a can of rice pudding once to find it was all green and mouldy. It put him off eating it for about 20 years!

My other half is feeling absolutely disgusted by the fact that she just found not 1 but 2 worms in a pack of long beans from tesco, she call me screaming about how she felt as if she had worms crwling all over her (if you are arfaird of creepy crawlies, you will know exactly what i mean) :(

But then to make it worse, the worms started moving! They were alive!

This is the first time that this has happened that I can think of but am not sure what to do next! She is feeling sick over this as she was about to cook...

Does anyone have any advise on what to do about this? Should I report them? make a formal complaint? I asked her to take pictures and a video if possible after trying to calm her down.

Keep the worms damp or they will shrivel up and die. It would be best if you could find a compost heap somewhere so they can burrow easier but if not fork over a patch of earth and place them underneath the soil so the birds don't have an easy meal.
    Hopefully they will survive. ;)
  • Perhaps the OP is angry because his GF was surprised that something dangly could be that long. Maybe she is used to dealing with something that is more maggot sized.
    Ouch!!! :)
