Oh without question I'd be rubbing my hands together thinking 'compensation', same as you. :D

But seriously, I'd think 'oh there's a spider', pop it outside in a piece of tissue and get on with my day. :)

Last time I checked, this was the Praise and Vent forum right? I asked for advice on what people usually do in this circumstance, I will be making a formal complaint about this and Yes I do expect all elements of insects and worms to be checked for a removed from produce

Really, it's produce that has been grown in the ground, it's not outrageous or disgusting, it nature.

If your GF is so afraid of creepy crawlies she should make sure she washes her veg thoroughly, as I'm sure it advises on the pack? Or buy tinned.

A million pounds? I would like a damn apology, clearly this kind of thing affects different people differently, if you knew someone who was afraid like that i'm sure you would understand but that's fine, we are all entitled to our opinions
We certainly are. Mine is that you are having a quite amazing overreaction to something extremely minor. :)

Take a step back, think about the tragedies that befall unfortunate people every day, and tell yourself 'I've found a worm in amongst some vegetables'.

If an anonymous customer services representative in a call-centre somewhere chuckling to himself about such a trivial complaint before saying "I'm sorry there was a worm in your veg" is what you're hoping for then by all means go ahead.

Other than that I'd humbly suggest that this was probably a one in a million occurrence and get on with your life. :)

You should also point out to tesco the vast quantities of faeces that are in lettuce! I hate it when they fertalise vegetables! Now that really should put her off the dinner.

Really you cant be complaining about that.

Feel for you man if she doesnt like little worms!

In these circumstamces normal people wash thier veg and carry on as normal. Tesco's cannot be held responsible because your GF is neurotic.

That's very observant of you. :)

Where exactly did I tell you anything to the contrary? Or are you just wheeling out the stock response of people who find that people disagree with the point they've raised?

I wouldn't complain to Tesco, they'll probably want to charge you extra for the worms.

Hahaha, that made me laugh, immature but funny! :T:rotfl::rotfl:

I'm sorry for mocking, OP, but the others are right, it's nature so these kind of things are bound to happen!

I've found wiggly things in fruit and salad before. Yes, I crap myself, but I just fling it in the bin and try to forget about it.

Hope your wife is OK, it's horrid to get a fright like that.
