Well my 1st timesheet was way out originally and I got told to adjust it even though they allow the extra time for newbies!! Anyway I met them halfway and I've just had my 1st timesheet approved 'with warning' lol. They also said in future the timings I put on my timesheet had to agree with those expected until I was actually achieving the expected timings!! :rotfl: So in other words my actual timings are pointless and I must just put down their figures regardless!!
What I don't understand is if they know what type of tasks you have done and how many of them and how long they should take, why don't they just pay us per task?? Surely it would be a lot easier than messing around with timings that are unrealistic anyway?? Grrrrr... anyway gotta say after 4 weeks it is getting easier and I am looking forward to getting my 1st pay before xmas :beer:Savings Target 2015 £10/£3000 :rotfl:0 -
With regard to timesheets, I learned to do the timings as per their own productivity expectations, even if they took longer, or occasionally a bit less! It saved a lot of hassle!0

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum. I just received an invitation from Lionbridge to take the initial qualification exam through Survey Monkey. The email said: "Please ensure that you very carefully study the exam guidelines that have already been sent to you before completing the exam and also refer to the guidelines frequently while you take the exam as this will hugely increase your chances of scoring a passing grade."
The problem is I don't remember receiving any guidelines. I carefully checked all correspondence I received from Lionbridge. All I found was consulting agreement, Code of Coduct, FAQ, Waiver for Search etc. I wonder if I need to study any additional material before I attempt to pass the exam.
Some people mentioned a huge manual that you need to refer to during the exam. Where can I get that? I would appreciate any advise on that matter as soon as possible.
Thanks!0 -
Hi Liiac,
You are best off emailing them to check. However when I started I also got some emails in the wrong order, i think it was some login details were asked for before I had them etc.
But definitely email them.0 -

Thanks! You are right. I should have emailed them stright away, but I was afraid that maybe I missed something. I didn't want to look stupid.0 -

When I took my exam last month I thought it finished on the Tuesday but I actually had till the Wednesday to complete it (6 days instead of 5!) but that meant I got my result through on the Weds night so please don't worry yetSavings Target 2015 £10/£3000 :rotfl:0 -

I got the dreaded email that my contract is over and they no longer need me
Does anyone know how long it takes to get our outstanding pay?. I'm guessing they will pay all outstanding money at one, but do we have to wait for the next pay period?I've just tried applying for the ad assessor role. Be interesting to see if I hear anything.0 -

That's brilliant... well done you!!
Well I've done 5 weeks now and am definitely finding it easier than when I first started!! My main issue was that my timings were completely out on some tasks so when they looked at my timesheet for October I got told to adjust my timings to suit theirs (plus what they allow for newbies!) Almost had tears in my eyes having to knock hours off but hey.. live and learn lol
I've also found that there are some tasks that I prefer to others so when there is a choice I know which to go for but when there isn't a choice I just get through the ones I'm not so keen on by doing them a couple at a time then having a break then doing just a couple more. I'm lucky that if I'm not busy at my main job I can log on and do half an hour here and there plus I can do some at evenings and weekends so I do have a large timescale throughout the week to log on and do a little often.
Just keep the relevant guidelines open when your working and attend any webinars you are invited to and look at the previous ones they have posted online as they can be really useful too as quite often people ask questions there that I hadn't even thought of!
Best of luck and just keep thinking of the benefits!! The hours I have done so far in November will pay for the majority of my summer holiday next year and the month isn't even over yet!! :cool:Savings Target 2015 £10/£3000 :rotfl:0
