Hi Daisy, i went through the same sort of thing around june july, although I'm surprised you say it only been the last few month as I have had an extreme amount, 20 or 30 hours most week, until mid november, then it dried up abit. I can only think that maybe as you are new they aren't giving the other task?

To be honest you need to get in the mindset that this is a useful bonus if the work is there. As soon as you start relying on it then you get frustrated when there is no work. I'm coming up to the end of my year now and I will really miss the extra income.

    Stick with it!
  • Hi Wesleyad, thanks for that; I`m trying to stay positive where LB are concerned, if I stick with it maybe there`ll be more work along soon, its just annoying when I get the LB emails saying "lots of work available", yet when I log in its "No HitApps available", I dread to think what my first payment will be- not expecting much; good job I`m not relying on it but would have been nice to have some extra for Christmas :(
  • Hi,
I am also new to LB and recieved Task Assignment‏ for Multi Media role. That means that I need to login as written and start rating? Or they need to send me smth else ? As I tried to do that "No HitApps available" all the time...

    Hi Guys

I've just started work as a LionBridge Internet Crowd Worker, which is a little different from the internet assessor roles that most of you appear to be doing on here, as mine is paid per task.

Just wondered if there are many of you out there that are currently doing/have done the role?

The main things I'd like to know are:
    1. Do people manage to achieve their minimum 10 hours per week?
    2. Is the pay likely to be on a par with the hourly paid roles(assuming there is work as it's on a pay per task basis)?
    3. I've done my first set of tasks, unfortunately there were only a very small number of these and the portal says there are no HitApps available, is this other people's experience as well?

It would be nice to know who else is doing the role and how they've found it!

    Thanks
    Des

I am new to the MM role, have no tasks either, also unable to log in to vendor, awaiting a reply from LB, not a good start!

Hi there, yes I`m working as a crowd worker like you; started at the end of Sept, not had even 5 hours a week so far!! Very little work available, just hope it picks up at some point! I haven`t had my first pay yet as its 2 months before you first get paid, but not expecting much! As we get paid per task I don`t think it`ll be as much as you`d get in the other roles.

Thanks for the reply daisy chainsaw, nice to know there's another Crowd Worker on here, even if you did confirm my suspicion that we aren't going to be the busiest or best paid!
Fingers crossed we get mad busy at some point, I could do with the extra cash! :)
  • Hello I'm a crowd worker too, I havent had anything for a couple of weeks. I get the email to say new hitapps and when I log in it clearly says hitapps avaliable then when I click start judge, it always says nothing to judge!!
    Starting to get annoying ...

Hi queenie01, how long have you been a crowd worker?
I only started on Friday so I'm probably not the bext person to say what might be wrong!
My experience is that any HitApps I've already judged sit under the My HitApps heading ands although the start judging link is still available, if you click on it, it says nothing to judge.
If and when more HitApps ever appear for judging, do you have to click on the marketplace heading to access these?
I really hope plenty of work turns up for all soon, I was sort of hoping I may earn enough for a nice holiday next year, we might be camping if not! :rotfl:
  • I started work with Lionbridge a couple of months ago as an Internet Assessor; I thought I`d be getting up to 20 hours a week- in fact its nowhere near that; most weeks I`m lucky to get anything at all, the odd half hour or 20 minutes, mostly its a couple of minutes then nothing. I check every day for work but there`s never been enough work for me, so frustrating, especially when I read on here that everyone else seems to have plenty of work! I`ve emailed Lionbridge a couple of times but its made no difference. Anyone else in the same position?

Ooohh... that's really strange! I started in mid October as IA and had a quiet week at end of that month but reading back on here it does seem to go quiet during school hols as I suppose lots of people are at home and have more spare time. But then in November it went mad and there was 3 weeks when I did 30 hrs!! And since then I could have done the full 20 (if I could be @rsed lol)! Have you had any replies to your emails from LB? Be interested to know their explanation.
