  • Could anyone clarify which website they are referring too?

I just did a search and two different companies go under the name of Lionbridge.

The first link was posted on forums here; (apparently I can't post links because I'm a 'new' user; think I've been a member since 2009 ish but have neglected the place somewhat) :o Thanks

Does anyone know if they currently recruiting in the UK ?

No worries, I found out. :)
  • Hi, Tara - I know we're not allowed to help you with the exam, so the Guidelines are your friend here.

(And, I think you should perhaps amend your post to remove the example you give there for confidentiality reasons, even though you say it's not an actual example.)

I think I found the practical bit of the exam easier because it was applying the theoretical stuff. As for the pass mark, usually it's about 80% but don't panic. Take your time and refer to the Guidelines.

    Hello Lizzie

I didn't commit a confidentiality breach, as I had given a scenario that is not part of the exam, but to keep the peace, I have removed the post.

I asked for help with the ficticious example, because I have read the guidelines over and over, and I can see no example that relates to my query, nor can I find a section which explains how to score a query such as I have given.
Sadly, I will have to guess the responses of two tasks, which I am not happy to do, but it seems I have no choice.

  • I fully expected to fail, I took my exam last year but I made it.

I think it's as much about showing how consistent you can be, that your answers make sense throughout the exam, if they are not exactly correct.

I really feel for you... Its so stressful, come back and tell us how you get on? I still check my guidelines all the time too! Good luck :) x

    Thanks Sarah

I have around 20 tasks left, then I will submit and hope for the best. I just hope that I get the results before the week is out.

Do you actually get the minimum 10 hours of work every week, or can it be less? Many seem to be moaning that the work isn't out there...

  • Work comes and goes, usually you do get at least 10 hours per week. But there are dry spells.
