Hi, have been lurking on this thread for a while, did exam this weeek and found out i had passed today. So, my question is, I need to earn around £2.5k by end May to pay for the holiday I promised the kids (this figure includes putting money away for tax). Is this do-able? Could raise £500ish seperately if necessary to bring target amount down to £2k. I work in school so have times where I can work maximum hours, and times where the 10 hours will be a struggle. I did enjoy the work and found it very straightforward and also very interesting. Would be interested to know average earnings from people with a FT job.LBM:1/1/12Debts @ LBM:£43,546  Debts now: £9,486  78% PAIDFound YNAB 1/2/14 - the best thing EVER!0

hi tintin,
not sure which job you applied for? If its the standard internet assessor job then you could do, but you are paid massively behind.. work you do this month will be paid mid feb, and you are already running out this month, so basically you would need a really good jan for a march payday and a good feb for a april payday. You wouldnt be able to make that much in that time, but you wouldnt be far off (depending on work availabilty).
Of course what always seems to happen, is when you have the time and willpower to do a load, the work dries up :mad:0 -
Yep I'll second that! It can come along in bits and pieces... But I've only been doing it a month, so I'm not that experienced. What you can earn will depend on how much work you are given, I suppose.
I've just had last months time sheet approved, so I'm happy.0 -
Ah, didn't think about the time waiting to be paid, but I guess as long as I know the work has been done and money is coming I can use the money set-aside for tax to pay for the holiday and then replace it. I have a back-up of coursework moderation which is paid out mid-June so I should be ok. Will be working so many hours I won't have time for spending!LBM:1/1/12Debts @ LBM:£43,546  Debts now: £9,486  78% PAIDFound YNAB 1/2/14 - the best thing EVER!0

I started work with Lionbridge a couple of months ago as an Internet Assessor; I thought I`d be getting up to 20 hours a week- in fact its nowhere near that; most weeks I`m lucky to get anything at all, the odd half hour or 20 minutes, mostly its a couple of minutes then nothing. I check every day for work but there`s never been enough work for me, so frustrating, especially when I read on here that everyone else seems to have plenty of work! I`ve emailed Lionbridge a couple of times but its made no difference. Anyone else in the same position?:mad:0

Rings a bell.. Yep. I'm a home worker with a few things on the go, so I can logon in school hours and when my kids are sleeping. Still I struggle to get as many hours as I'd like with LB. I imagine its even trickier for people using this as a second income, if you're out at work too. I'm hoping it picks up.0
