My dad was rushed in to hospital Wed night and I've totally forgotten to fill my time sheet in from Mon-Wed and it's now closed. I've emailed them to see if there's anything I can do but has anybody has this problem before?0

I recently emailed them about the same problem. They have said that the timesheet reopens a few days before the end of the current payment cycle, which ends on 24 November, and that I should be able to enter the missing time then. Hope that helps and also hope that your Dad is recovering.0 -
Just got an email to say tomorrow is my last day with Lionbridge
My 11 months came to an end two weeks ago so I got a bit longer than I was expecting.
Just trying to cram as much work in as possible now.0 -
Why do contracts only last 11 months and can you reapply for a different post? I've got my exam tomorrow......0

I've asked them a few times why they only let people rate for 11 months, and no one seems to have an answer. They openly admit it makes no sense to train people up and then let them go when they have a years experience under their belts.
The only thing we can think of is that mistakenly believe that their obligations to contractors change after a year in service (but this isn't the case for a self employed contractor).
It's frustrating as it's a great secondary earner, and I'll definitely miss it. I shall try applying for another role.0 -
