25% will be plenty. Your full time employer doesnt have to be told unless you want to as you will keep paying the normal tax amounts on your full time income and then pay the tax on your self emplyment.
Hope this helps
Speaking of which, how are people dealing with the National Insurance issue? I think I read if it's under £100 a week you earn in any 1 job you don't have to bother, but presumably some will earn more. They seem to want to bill you quarterly for it or for you to pay direct debit, but if it's variable what you earn month to month, I don't understand how they work out the direct debit amount. The information I found online really wasn't clear. Am I missing something?0 -

If you are employed you pay Class 1 NI, if you are self employed you pay Class 2 NI at a flat rate of £2.40 per week. If you earn more than £5715 you then pay Class 4 NI as a percentage of your profits.
If you will earn less than £5715 you can opt out of paying Class 2 NI and just pay your tax.0 -

Thanks so much, don't understand why it wasn't stated this simply on the Government website0 -
Hi Guys
I am just filling in the Lionbridge app now and under attachments it asks you to attach CV and AND proof of English Language competency. What do you attach for this? I am naturally fluent in English as I am English and have lived here all my life - or does this just apply to foreign nationals?!
Thanks x0 -

Hi guys, quick question:
Is it possible to earn minimum wage through this? I'm thinking of applying due to having no luck finding a job through the job centre
EDIT: I've applied for it on the off-chance I can get the position. Fingers crossed. (If anyone can answer the above question it would be good though)0 -

The pay rate is well above the minimum wage.(However your hours are restricted to 10-20hrs per week.) good luck.
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO TAKE TIME TO POST COMPETITIONS

Got through to the exam stage on lionbridge
- getting a little nervous now waiting for it to hit my inbox!
As I've never been employed before (student) does 25% of it really go to HMRC? (Seems quite a large amount)0 -
Just found out I've passed! Super happy!0
