    Hi Kay

It's 5 days from when they send it. They tend to get sent out on a Wednesday it seems, so you have until Sunday to complete it.

Good luck, I'm working through my exam now, have everything crossed for myself and everyone else!

    Thanks Kat.

I haven't had the pre-screener test that people seem to be talking about, or does that come before the exam?

I think they must have stopped doing it, because I didn't get it either, so I wouldn't worry about it x

    Soooo excited.:j:j:j

I applied on 27th January and presumed they didn't like what I said.

Just received an email to say they will send the exam out as soon as I agree to terms and conditions.

    OMG...! Scared stiff now.

Hope hope hope hope hope I can pass.

I'm confused with the deadline - 28th 7am PST? Does that mean 3pm Monday or 3pm Sunday it is due?

Doesn't matter now as I managed to get it all done and submitted.

I really don't think i've passed the second part. It says not to rush as you will most likely not be successful, but I seemed to get through them quite quickly and didn't consult the guide as much as I though I would need to.
I felt like I was choosing the right answers at the time, but in hindsight i'm thinking maybe I should have spent more time analysing each one.

Oh well, whatever happens happens - at least i've completed it and can enjoy my weekend!

Just wanted to say good luck to those waiting for results and to those about to dive into the exam.
It really is worth taking the whole amount of time - it can't be said enough - you only get one chance and it's not one that you're going to want to throw away quick. :D
Has anyone downloaded the new task control software? Apparently it calculates wages too which is a nice incentive to have on my desktop.

  • What's everyone's suggestion for time keeping on tasks?

The last few days I have been timing when I start the batch and then timing the finishing time, but someone else somewhere said that they keep records of exactly how long each task has taken!

Don't want to mess it up as they could reject my timesheet
  • Hi all,

I'd appreciate a bit of advice regarding the application form for Lionbridge.
I've completed the form throughout, but under the education section, did everyone do a seperate entry for each subject for GCSE's & A Levels?

At the moment I've grouped them into one entry for GCSE's, and included all details of my grades in the details box, and another one for my A Levels, again with grades in the details box.

Is this the right way to do it? Or do I need to do each subject individually?

Sorry if it's a stupid question, I have baby brain (!), and would really like to make a good impression after receiving not so good news today about OH job.

    Many thanks x

I listed every one separately - not sure how your supposed to do it if I'm honest!
  • Oooh more people applying and going for tests!!!!! Well done and good luck respectively :D I'm sure you'll do great. And it's a great opportunity, so as mentioned above, please take the time to read through and consider everything properly. Some of it takes a bit to get your head around:p

I use Lionbridge task control software linked above in my last post. I only have the free version but I'm sure the donation based version is even better :D
