Well done you guys! So many passed this week. I applied on Feb 21st and am still waiting to hear back. I applied at the start of half term with forward planning as I wanted to do the test and probationary period (if successful) while the kids were at school, but it is already March now ... Fingers crossed.

It took them approximately a couple of weeks before they acknowledged my application so hopefully, you'll hear soon!

Hi, I'm interested in applying for this and was wondering if anyone is allowed to answer this question for me -

Is this a permanent posisiton or do Lionbridge tell you if/when your services are no longer required?

    Thanks

11 months is something to do with UK tax laws or insurance. No one really knows.

It took them a full month to get back to me from my initial application.

I'd been reading this and loads of people had heard back and taken exams during that time, so I had presumed they didn't like me :p

I am getting my first exam material though on Wednesday :j:j:j:j:j so don't give up hope. :D

Congratulations to all the new raters.
I don't think you can reapply once the contract ends, I remember reading that back at the beginning.

As for payment, it takes 60 days so you'll get paid 2 months after you start and remember, it won't be a full wage depending on when in the month you start. I started on the last day of January so I'm due a day's pay this month. (which is still a decent amount.)

Once you've got the 'Congratulations' e-mail you'll need to input your bank details and they'll send you a mass of links to portals, training and everything else you need.....and then the fun can begin. :rotfl:

I've got exactly the same. I started in Feb and thought I was going OK?

Im completely shocked, I have been getting better at hitting targets and had started to feel more comfortable in my abilitys. I have been rating for an hour this evening but have just logged 20 mins in my time sheet as I kept pausing my timer and doing tons of research and then releasing the task as I just wasnt sure if I was right.

I have been a complete and utter dingbat in having only noticed something to do with the rater portal today but have a few new things on there, so Im wondering if that could have affected my start rating.

I just took two of the exams in the training area and passed one and failed another by a few percent.

I am second guessing myself on so much right now :(
