All the best Joe. This means I can hopefully give up working Domino's in the evening which is physically and mentally draining me!0

Yippeee! I'm in! Just gotta wait for email details about when I start!
Good luck everyone in the process

Congratulations to all that have just passed
With reference to the 25% tax question. You can earn £7475 (your personal allowance) before you have to pay any tax. You will have to look into National Insurance though and also being self employed you are also responsible for doing your own tax. I am certainly not an expert in such things and as it is my 1st time being self employed I am still at the stage of finding out about it all. Good Luck!
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO TAKE TIME TO POST COMPETITIONS

Does anyone know if you count the instructional tasks on your timesheet?0

Thanks to everyone who has posted - really useful
Hope I haven't missed something -
I'm on the verge of signing up to this but just wondered...
1) Those who are doing this work already - how is it going & how are you finding it? Is it simply a case of sitting there and tapping in words to a search engine? Or something that you can do in front of the TV? My F/T job can be pretty tiring at times and just want to make sure that I can commit to the 10 hours per week - what happens if you are unabl;e to do a week - can you make up the hours at another time?
2) Spyware - is there any spyware involved on this - eg will they monitor your internet usage (not that I have anything to hide ha-ha but I hate the invasion of privacy!!)
Phew! First MSE Q over and done with
Thanks
(& good luck for all those doing the exams!)0 -

I am enjoying it. It's interesting work even though a little repetitive. Some task types are easier and quicker than others, but I am getting quicker.
You're not tapping any words into search engines, you're evaluating results mainly. I can't say too much because of the NDA.
Re working full time - I do find it hard. The last couple of weeks I've basically done over 50 hours each week  But it will be worth it. You can fit the hours in when you like, including weekends.
You do need to do at least 10 hours per week, through tere is a holiday/ unavailable form.
No there is no spyware or other nasties from Lionbridge, but you will need to make sure your pc is protected in case you visit any websites with nasties on.
Good luck to all the newbies applying :beer:The only thing we know for sure, is that we know nothing0 -
Sammy, do you know roughly how many instruction tasks you had to do at the start? They're wearing me down a bit!0
