Hey didn't want to read and run!
How rubbish is that I hope you are OK? When our first "perfect" house fell through well we got gizumped (pretty sure I have spelt that wrong) after I got the call I sat and cried in my car and sulked for a good two weeks!
I know your want to slap me in the face for saying this as I wanted to when people kept saying this to me, but something waaaayyy better will come along! We found somewhere better (although haven't exchanged yet) and I know you will.
Maybe that house will be available soon? I don't know the situation but I hope something better comes your way!
Hope your ok I can totally relate so sending lots of hugs and the house fairy.:)Mortgage at Highest:£145,000

Just a quickie to check in as had a horrendous 24 hours - my lovely dog had to be put to sleep yesterday followed by a message this morning that my house move had fallen through, they do say bad luck arrives in three's - not sure if i could take much more.
Have been avidly squirreling any spare money away in anticipation of the move that now isn't happening, so could easily feel like going on a spending spree but trying to stay focused as it makes more sense having money in the bank for when we do eventually find another 'perfect' house.
Think i'm gonna take myself off now to lick my wounds!!
oh, must mention i managed to make it to Morrys on Sunday afternoon around 3ish when they were reducing loads of stuff, bought about 8 packs of cod loin which had been £2.95 each reduced to 25p, 3 galia melons 9p each, 2 trays of roasting vegetables 25p each plus lots of 'ready meals' 49p each - i was thoroughly chuffed with myself!!
xx
Hey Im sorry to hear about your dog sweetie, I hate it when an animal passes away its horrible and really upsets me. Especially when animals are so loving unconditionally.
So sorry about your house as well....:( but you know these things happen for a reason and I reckon theres a far better house out there for you! It just means you have to wait for it! And well done on not spending your saved cash! I would have been tempted too! :T0 -
Hi trixie hope all is going well - will try and have a catch up with the posts tomorrow .Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Will catch up on posts later:p
Just been clearing the waste land at the end of our street and as we have cut the grass, picked up litter and cut the brambles back from the road for the past 12 years (well DH has) we may be able to adopt the land and could possibly use it for growing veg:j not counting chickens or anything but it would be fab if we could.
Will catch up tomorrow when a little quieter in the house.
Have a great rest of the weekend peeps xxxx0 -
Hey all - thank you so much for your kind messages about my poor old pooch - i'm on the up now though!!
Yesterday morning i posted a lengthly update on life but had to keep stopping and starting as was at work resulting i guess that when i actually hit the 'submit' button i must have been automatically logged out and i notice this morning the post if missing - other than that someone may have pinched it because it was just soooooooooooooooooooo fascinating - lol :rotfl:
Anyway, lets start again!!!
Rock chic, well done on starting the ebaying again:T - it's surprising how the money adds up and it will mean you won't have to move as much!!!! - sending you such good wishes for your impending move xx:)
I've got to get back with ebaying again - i've been really busy over the last couple of weeks with baking ( have had at least 2/3 cakes a week plus last week was wedding cakes - eek!! as well as regular job and a whole heap of pta stuff - not even going there are way to boring)
Little miss - thank you for sending the house fairy (and the hugs - i so needed them xx), i hope she manages to work her way to us sooner rather than later, but at the mo i'm thinking about staying put for a while, but we'll see!!!
Ruby, i hope life is treating you well - it's nice to see you're still bobbing in xx
Paidinchickens - welcome to our ramblings!!!! well done on clearing the waste ground in your street, it would be fab if you are able to use it - if your going to maintain it then that has to be better all around!! - i've dabbled in growing a few things this year, tomatoes, courgettes and peppers - i'm not doing terribly well, but they are all still alive!!!!:rotfl:- I bought a book last year - 'grow your own veg' by carol klein which looks fab but have yet to read it, a tad late really as i should have been reading it ahead of the spring - maybe i'll get around to it ahead of next years planting!!!!
Anyway, we decided to book a weekend away the week before last (due to feeling so miserable) and it was lovely, just what we all needed - to have a bit of fun and get away from reality.
At the weekend i started unpacking the packed boxes  (as up until then i just hadn't felt like doing it) and i'm feeling way more upbeat and focused.
As for money saving, well........
My credit card has taken a bigggggggg hit (did make me feel better at the time) plus we did spend a little of the house savings on the weekend away but was well worth it!! - so back to living the MSE way as i have got a tad complacent:eek:
Have a fun day xx

Hi Trixie, I am glad your ok hun
well done on getting back on the Ebay wagon I have a few bits going tonight
. Its hard at first to start up again but I still get a buzz when something sells!
Im glad you had a lovely weekend sometimes you need to get away! :T0 -
Well......
I'm hoping anyone who takes the time to read is fine and dandy on this fine Tuesday!!!
I've been off for a while but back with avengence but feeling i should really be moving off to the debt free wannabes as i've been a tad sidetracked by my spending and my credit card has taken several further hits - could kick myself as it was all clear a few months ago and now find myself back with a £1500 debt and very little to show for it - arrrgggghhhhh (shouting whilst actively kicking myself - lol!!)
Anyway, the school holidays are nearly over (2 days to go) so i can start to begin squirreling some money away, not just for paying off CC but also i'm very aware that christmas will come thundering towards me at a rapid pace.
I've rummaged around in the bottom of the last handbag i was using and found my 'spending diary' to start noting all that is being spent, i renewed my library books online today only to realise i've got a £5.40 fine for them being overdue - eek and i got lumped with a £12 charge for paying my catalogue bill late - needless to say i've been a tad rubbish and rather unorganised
Anyway, little point dwelling on what has happened, just have to move forward!!
I've found i've been rubbish with my diet and food menu's too and we've been eating a fair amount of take aways over the last couple of months (more wasted money - mostly scrummy though!! - all down to me again - good job i've got broad shoulders!!- on reflection i do seem to lose the motivation with most things when my spending is out of control!! ) so my freezer is bursting at the seams again, and last night i could easily have sent my husband out for a take away (we're in the midst of decorating!!) but instead made some pizza dough and cleared the fridge of veggies nearing the end of there lives plus some gammon and grated mozzarella i'd frozen (bought reduced) - which when spiced up a bit with some chilli's proved to be a really delish meal that was far cheaper than take out!!
In work today and remembered to bring soup with me , have a cheque to pay in at lunch time and have some paid baking at the end of the week which is fab but i've also got to buy 2 birthday gifts for Thursday - oh there's always something!!!!
Have a fun day all
xx
