I've been very, very lazy. I haven't actually done anything yet.
However, the rhubarb's coming along nicely, I had a check on it today:
And I managed to nip to B&Q for some compost yesterday, so I'll be planting chilli seeds this evening.
Everyone else ok?
Your rhubarb looks great - I had a look at mine on Saturday and the sticks are half the size of yours.0 -
Your rhubarb looks great
I have only looked at mine from the kitchen window, so I can't see properly how its doing.
I was going to do some seeds this morning... but when I got up, it was snowing again  and it put me off.... so I haven't started anything yet either, othere than chitting my spuds
I need to start my seeds off before the end of the month I reckon, other wise I will have nowt ready in the summer0 -
Well I managed to get some seed compost from B&Q today, so managed to get my chili seeds in today, tomatoes next week perhaps.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Yes,but I only put a bin over it about 2 weeks ago so I am probably a bit behind everyone else.0 -
Hi all can I join in? This is my second year with a veg plot (raised bed) and dad has promised to put another one in for me this spring but can not get free top soil for this one so I am going to try the lasagne method. Have been saving all of the shredded paper and have collected two wheelie bin bags full of fallen leaves to use.
So far have put red and white onions and garlic in the plot. Have done a first sowing of parsnip and raddish.
In the green house I have sown
lambs lettuce and spinach in troughs
cauli, cabbage and leeks. The cauli and cabbage are just starting to sprout.
In the kitchen I have broad beans, peppers aubergine, dill, oregano, snack cucumbers, toms are
red robin
cherry fox
gartenperle
red cherry
tigerella
pomdoro
I am planning to grow lettuce, pak choi, carrotts earlie and maincrop spuds.
have got 4 currant and 1 goosberry bush in the garden plus lots of strawberry plants grown from runners last year. I think I can fit a dwarf cooking apple tree in and I am planning of trying a few raspberry canes in a large container.
Any suggestions on where I can get a dwarf cooking apple tree from?
mr Bad example are you growing any more of that fantastic chilli plant like last year. The colours were fantastic.
I'm sure there will be more .I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.

Yes.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Hi everyone,
Fingers crossed some pics come out and aren't huge (been trying for ages!)
Rhubarb at top (obviously) which isn't doing great, should I start forcing it?
Then sweet peppers, king of the north are doing great with 18 out of 20 up and going, the others are kaibi which are doing ok. They are all a bit leggy though so need re-potting I think (true leaves are showing on all of them).
Then the chillis, only 2 varieties from the real seed company-early jalapenos which are doing well, and pretty in purple-not so well. The PinP are very small indeed-is this normal or have mine gone horribly wrong? Also, should I be potting them on yet, or waiting...and should they still be in the propagator. There is a lot of conflicting advice on this, I'm worried about keeping the lid on in case they rot!
I'm hoping to get chance to sew tomatoes and basil at the weekend.
Here goes for pics, if they work!0
