I got mine from real seeds/thompson & morgan.
Otherwise there is a forum for swapping (grapevine, google it)
Care same as tomatoes, they do grow very bushy. The fruits make amazing salsa and are just a little bit tart so they really zing up pasta sauce.
Freezes well too.
I've just counted 17 varieties of tomatoes for this year
Stick them in pasta sauces like Misskool and also chillies.
I grow them outside (where they are supposed to do better, rather than in a greenhouse).
I stake them straight away and you need to stake the side shoots when they get fruit, or they get too heavy and droop onto the floor, where all kinds of things will eat them.
You also need at least 2 plants for pollination.
I only grow 2 plants, because that produces a huge amount of tomatillos.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
Right, I'm going to try to post some pics, but please be patient I haven't done this before!
Could this be a strawberry plant we have found in the patch? All of those potatoes were dug out of the ground!0 -
Oh how do I post pics?0

Fay,
You have to upload them to a free photo sharing site such as photobucket. From there you can add them to your posts as images or links.

I've got them in a flickr album and have gone to insert image, but they haven't shown up. I'll try with the links:

They're quite large, could that be the problem?0 -

What should I do with the strawberry, can I move it as it's in an smears place; can it be put in a pot?0 -
Wow Sally A, that's a serious amount of veg. How big is your plot?0

Yes pic 3 is a black current bush-it must have been a recent addition as it still has a label on it. We brought the house at the end of October last year.

Yes you can move it, wait till late april if you can, if you move it now it may die, though it may live.
whats a smears place, btw?Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).

Well I have no idea what a smears place is...I think I replied using my phone and it sometimes makes strange words if you get a letter wrong. Although it was supposed to say awkward so I have no idea how smears got there! Thanks for the advice on moving it, I would leave it but its in the middle of the patch which is 'awkward'!0
