I finally appear to have some carrots showing through, to add to the beetroot and onions.
I spent a fair bit of the weekend getting my first load of beans & peas planted out up canes. Still have a few to do. Re-potted a few toms too. And I planted some spring onion seeds.
I planted some pepper seeds (just to try it out) a few weeks ago, & have not had anything sprout there.
Hope you enjoyed your break MrBE.It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Update time:
Bees like chives:
So much so that this one didn't let go while I carried them to the shed, repotted them and carried them back again.
Greenhouse stuff(ed):
Tomatoes, chillies, cauliflower, sunflowers, cucumber, gherkins, marigolds, beetroot in modules. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
The buddleia appears to have recovered, and is growing again:
The lavender on the left
is a bit poorly as it's been munched by something and I've had to cut lots of dead bits back.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
That's alot of tomatoes for a single bloke! You'll be giving them to everyone, hopefully............Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0

Runner beans (by fence), turnips, beetroot and spring onions:
Beetroot didn't germinate very well, so replacing with module-sown plants (under the bottles). Spring onions don't seem to be going too well either. Turnips got dug up by fox, and resown, so there's too many of them. I've thinned loads out today.
Onion sets are doing better than I expected:
Now I've got to find room to plant them out somewhere. That might not be easy - they could end up spread about a bit.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

I'm only keeping 19 plants. Most of them will have to be outside too, so I expect less fruit from them.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Swede, onions, parsnips, more swede, runner beans, leeks, bit of space for French beans if they germinate:
Sunflowers and a few radishes in the corner:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
