Ex-mod
However, yes, the server is down - it was supposed to be replaced yesterday so I can only assume that they are having issues with plugging it in or charging it up.
However, we have the MBE thread to keep us all amused

I need to go and buy canes saturday morning. I am really keen to get my beans & peas out into the soil, especially after all the rain.
But I have a dilemma. Football kicks off at 12.45, & my bowls match starts at 2.30. Will I have the time?
(NB I want to go for a day out on the sunday, weather depending...)
I am currently avoiding going into the garden for a couple of days in the vain hope that when I finally do, there will be shoots where I planted my damned BEETROOT AND CARROTS!:mad:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
at last second planting off beetroot , lettuce ect has come up woohoo first lot went in the flying rats tummy (na i like her really) so this lot was netted lol and im glad i was not the only one who could not get on the vine ...thought it was me0

Yes. Just ignore the football. It'll be 0-0 anyway, so you'll waste 90 minutes of your life watching nothing happen. :whistle:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

I'm definitely a Mr.
Football's a girls' game though. Bunch of overpaid, overrated prima-donnas poncing about shouting at the ref, or falling down crying. Bunch of handbags, the lot of 'em:
And that's just the players. The game itself is inherently dull. Like I say, you spend 90 minutes watching for it to be 0-0. Nothing's happened, yet one side's fans think it's a result and the other lot want to stab you. They can't even be trusted to have a pint in the ground.
Don't get me wrong, I love sport. Just about all of it. Sport for grown-ups though: Rugby, Aussie Rules, that sort of thing. I'll spend most of the next three weeks glued to the Giro d'Italia (and footballers think they're fit! :rotfl:). Those guys are nails. RIP Wouter Weylandt.
Oh, now I've got off my soapbox, I'd just like to remind everyone that it's a gardening thread, so it's not the place to try and defend football.
I got some leeks today from a nice lady on freecycle. Mine weren't looking too great, so this'll top them up a bit.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
I've just sown three varieties of french bean. Gawd knows where I'll put them. Might have to dig up a bit more lawn.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

Off 'til Sunday. Everything should be ok, but if we get a blazing couple of days will you water the tubs for me? No, not all of you. One of you will do.
Lemon, you're in charge.
