Yes as emmi says, loads. I did a test this year, between saved and bought seed. The saved did much better.mrbadexample wrote: »Having never grown proper flowers before, can I get seed from my Marigolds so I don't have to buy them again next year? I know they were cheap, but so am I.
I didn't collect all the seed from the greenhouse marigolds last year and when I cleared it out, I found a huge amount of them stuffed into a corner, by a mouse or rat I presume.
Slugs and snails do love them though. In that way they are a decent sacrificial plant as well.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
We had more thunderstorms here last night. The midlands is getting quite a drenching!
I'm actually avoiding going out into the garden if I can for a couple of days, in the vain hope that when I finally do, I'll see carrots & beetroot have sprouted.
My lettuce in the greenhouse is coming along great guns - I'll be looking forward to putting it on my sandwiches next week. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

If I'm over the hill, where was the top?0 -
It's desperately trying to rain here, and I'm desperately trying to let it, in the hope I won't have to water tonight.

Tonight I have eaten the first 4 radishes of my season.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
