I had my first flower on a Sheeps' Nose pepper yesterday but I nipped it out.....

I do that because I THINK that you get a better harvest overall..as the plant throws out more flowers to compensate.

    Others will disagree.

But, I don't think it's too early so if you don't nip your first flowers out then just enjoy your chili flowering!!!
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Yes, they're not a big plant so that sounds fine.

Please stop posting photos because you're making me jealous. Mine are miles behind.

But it's my first year and I'm very pleased with myself :p I'm sure yours will catch up very soon and be much better than what I can achieve!

    I haven't harvested anything yet-you've already had rhubarb! SO you're ahead ;)

Oh that's ok then. I can attribute it to beginner's luck! :rotfl:
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I neither agree nor disagree, as I've only tried not doing it. The PinP fruited prolifically, regardless. :)

The walking stick kale has left the garden. Left it as long as I could so the bees could have the benefit of the flowers, but it had to go sometime.

It is now drying in the shed. I estimate a potential 3'6" useable length - might be a little bit less, as I'm not sure how woody it is towards the growing end.

You should be ok now - I'm South east London too and woke up this morning to the sound of rain - the Garden looks a lot greener already.

Had our first Rhubarb of the year last night, yum.:D
