Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

I normally end up with loads but they get made into passata. This year I've cut back though and am only growing cherry toms.
But my one and only cucumber plant has died  I am gutted. Damn red spider mites. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

Has no-one got a spare you can have? Mrbadexample snr has just given me a picolino cucumber plant - and I don't really eat them.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

I too am running out of space. I've 20 runner beans & 20 pea plants out on canes - very small at the mo.
I've 4 rows of beetroot, 3 rows of onions & 3 rows of carrots all sown directly into the soil.
Recently planted a tray of spring onions.
Approx 20 ish tomato plants. I lost all my tomato plants to blight this year. I really hope the same doesn't happen this year as I may cry.
I've sown 4 pepper seeds, but probably did it a bit late after the hot spell - nothing has germinated there yet.
Lettuce is being eaten.
I am growing flowers to encourage bees where I can. Trouble is, I've no space to plant the flowers!
MrBE I concur that there has already been a fair bit of bee activity - noticed a lot of bees, particularly on one particular decorative bush that exisit in our garden...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
