God awful job. I'm only halfway through mine, got another day at it tomorrow too.
I've been rereading the thread and just wanted to make sure you knew the 'God awful job' comment was about the task of slab laying generally, it didn't refer to your path in particular in any way.
I kinda thought when I read it this morning, it could be taken more than one way.
My runner beans grew about an inch last night. They are all germinated and standing proud. This growing things from seed milarky is very satisfying. I only hope I don't manage to kill them when I plant them outside properly. :rotfl:

Indeed. Your comment could be taken both ways, but I thought you meant it in the "slab-laying is a god-awful job" way. However, now you've mentioned it, I'm going to take it as referring directly (and accurately) to my path. No offence taken, you understand; it is a god-awful job. :rotfl:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

I have it tentatively IDd as wall speedwell (Veronica arvensis), thanks to the good people on the Wild About Britain site.
You just stick to looking after my gherkins, eh?
Seriously, thanks, and I will post another photo if the flower opens today. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

And they grow quickly if you look after them and make you look good
And the first french bean squeaky steamed on my plate is something I look forward to every year.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
Good morning ladies and gentlemen.
I would like to bid you a warm welcome to shed-painting day. I am awaiting the attendance of a keen and willing (as long as I feed and water him) assistant. I have gone over the outside of it with a brush, to remove surface dirt and cobwebs.
I'm going to lift out the two fence panels down the side of the shed and paint them too, using the opportunity to do the side of the shed whilst they're out and there's a bit of space. Not looking forward to doing the back, mind. It's a bit of a squeeze in there, and some bu99er's put spikes all over the top of the fence. :rotfl:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

I don't grow French beans. I don't really like them, but that's probably because I've only had shop-bought / frozen ones. I'm sure they'd be ok if I grew them myself. I would think I'm not too late, so can you recommend a tasty variety please? If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
