  • MBE - you've been to my neck of the woods I see - from your tea towel! x

Actually, it's one my mum gave me. I have been there since though. :D
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
  • Right then, best get myself away. Lemon, you're in charge. Looks like you'll have to do plenty of watering while I'm gone - make sure you keep harvesting the tomatoes as there's still plenty left. ;)

  • Yeah, all over outside for us too now, but we have 2 indoor rinks too so we've had three roll-ups in there and another tomorrow morning then the serious stuff starts Tuesday. Still rather be outside though.

Well, at least MrBE saw an england victory (of sorts) this weekend.

Hope he's having a good time. Apparently it is ridiculously cold out there at the mo (someone mentioned to be nights are approx 3degrees C at the mo).

Meanwhile in the garden, me beans are giving up the ghost. Peppers slowing expanding, and toms reddening for sandwiches!

Sorry I've not been posting much...I haven't had much to report though really. I need to get better at successional planting next year. My tomatoes are still ripening, peppers still doing well and the chillis are also looking good.

We have also planted garlic and autumn/winter onions and just had another bag of onions-red electric I think, delivered today. I ordered them about 3 weeks ago from thompson and morgan and thought they would have been here sooner! We also have some spinach to sow but not sure we will have enough veg plot room now!

I have picked and eaten some red tomatoes!!

I'm keen to plant some onions to over-winter - can anyone recommend a good variety? I'm in wet and windy (and soon to be frosty) Yorks.

Good luck getting past South Africa, Fiji and Samoa in the pools. And if you do get through you'll probably be all broken.

Not whistling now are we mrbadprediction. Oops, sorry, badexample. ROTFLMAO. Dammed Bad Luck England, better luck next time. If they had beaten France it would have only prolonged the agony until next Saturday. Got to say it was a lot of money to spend to watch that first half. You'd have been better off staying in Wellington....(Wales ) (England :wall:)

Ooooh! John, there'll be fisticuffs when he gets back!:D

I have tomatoes coming out my ears now...

In other news, I am concerned about my peppers. They seem to have started going black (or moreso, have something looking a bit like tar on them). Is this down to the cold? Do I need to bring them inside? Can I save them?

Well he did start it with his disparaging words about Wales....LOL
We've got Toms going mad too, I let a moneymaker grow right up to the eaves of the G/House and there's loads on there still to ripen.
Don't know anything about Peppers tho' sorry.
