Well, I'm weaning myself off at the moment but from the 7th Feb I want to be drinking no more than 3 cans per week. Because it's full sugar I drink it's a major contributing factor to my weight
I've "only" had 2 cans today and I'm feeling alright for it, no headaches yet! I've just filled up the jug of squash in the fridge so I'm going to try it out and see if I can manage on that for today
Good for you debtbegone. Keep us updated with your progress. I'll add you to the first page.0 -

Is it a bit sad that I'm planning on just staying in :rotfl:I managed not to drink anymore fizzy yesterday and stuck with the squash. Today I'm just finishing my 2nd of the day then it's back to the squash for me. I'm surprised that I actually like the stuff!
Hope everyone's doing okThe debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

Hi everyone, glad to see everyone's doing so well - think we all deserve a nice big ice cold glass of [STRIKE]diet coke[/STRIKE] something ......;)
Anyway, feeling quite pleased with myself even if I do say so myself
This week, cans - 1 at lunchtime so 5 and 7 x 1.25L bottles (my 1L bottles were slightly bigger than I thought):o
Still a fair bit but a lot better than 2+ cans at work each day then 2L every night!
Only problem now is that the offer is finished and really don't want to go back to 2L bottles as don't trust myself not to finish a bottle every night.
Other downside is that my tea/coffee consumption has skyrocketed, however, more worried about the aspartame TBH so will work on kicking the DC then start on cutting down on caffine.
It's quite funny as if I take paracetamol they don't do anything for me unless I take the paracetamol+ (or extra) which, not surprisingly, has caffine added.
Goals for next week.....

You have to be so careful, almost all fizzy flavoured water has sweetener in it. I have read of people swapping it for fizzy water with a splash of squash or juice...
I've had 4 lt in 9 days so I'm doing well, Saving me a fortune:rotfl:0 -
Keep it up everyone...you're all doing so well :T:T
We now have NO cola or fizzy juice in the house....don't plan on getting any more for a while we'll see how we get on!
Have a great Sunday everyone.

I just got come caffeine free diet coke in my Tescos shop. Tried it not expecting to notice the difference, but I do.... difficult to put my finger on what it is, it's just missing something (obviously!!!:p)
Thought I would try it for a while and see how I get on. Am expecting headaches etc, but it will be interesting to see whether after that I lose the cravings for diet coke.Save £12k in 2021: Jan £1834.40, Feb £1692.810 -

I've only really drunk caffeinated coke when out and about, I only ever buy caffeine free at least when I cut down I don't get the caffeine withdrawal at least.
Still under 6lt in 10 days.0
