    Thanks dollybeads and moneypenny2k!

DS2 didn't moan about having no cola...we did have some on Friday night after all!

We did have an amazing tea though - tortillas with HM spicey tomato sauce and melted cheese on top. This was followed by bread & butter pudding...with no bread nor butter! Just croissants well past their best by date, it was sooo scrummy!! I can see a request for this again!

Right, off to get some gardening done...little and often is the way to get some headway through the mess!

  • Not good today, the elves got me good, just finished my third can  but still in credit with my weekly allowance of 5/6. Will probably start on a few glasses of vino collapso shortly instead. Not good either but less caffeine and aspartame Yay ;)

I'm coming over for tea to your place Keiss. I ended up cooking a roast chicken lunch, yorkshires, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, mixed veg and proper home made gravy. 2 dishwasher loads at least of washing up. However, my son really enjoyed his birthday lunch.

Dolly, you'll be fine, you're still drinking way less than you normally drink so let's chalk that up to an improvement. :D;)

I'm nearing the end of my 2nd coke free day. Left it in the boot all weekend. Will see how it goes.
  • Well- not doing TOOOO bad!! Have had 2 small glasses of diet coke today- probably one more to come before bed. Is less than the 3 cans that I would usually have.

I bought 3 1.25L bottles to last friday until now, and it has easily lasted- DD had some and some of a bottle I used to clean the loo as it was a bit flat!!

Feel as though I am making a little progress, but that it will be a constant battle unless I completely give up.

I often use flat coke to clean the loo. I wonder what it does to our insides? :rotfl::rotfl:

Keep it up Susie. I'm sure you feel you've made a little progress you'll want to carry on and make more progress.

moneypenny2k- your cooking sounds scrummy....glad your son enjoyed his birthday meal.

We seem to have eaten most of our cakes, buns and hobnobs (all HM), but DS2 doesn't want me to make more for a while...what isn't in the house can't be eaten!! He is talking about trying out a Paleo diet to help with his diabetes (Type 1) and rugby fitnes regime. At it's most extreme, there's nothing using grains, legume or dairy...:eek::eek:. Not sure we can do without bread, milk and cheese though! I feel we will need to negotiate!!!

No coke with tea...just 1 litre of lemonade between DS2 and me :j

The rabbit hotpot we had tonight was really scrummy...couldn't persuade DS2 to have any though (lucky I cooked chicken for him then :D!). there's plenty for another meal...might just freeze it for another day...or we could have it tomorrow night...will discus this with DH.

Right, off to get some ironing done...the pile is in the rocking chair, which is bending over backwards at a really precarious angle!! :o

Have a good week everyone...and have fun trying to be good!

It's nice to have somebody to cook for now and then. I don't really bother if it's just me. As for baking, what's the point? I honestly can't eat a whole cake, batch of biccies... well yes I can but it's really not good for me.

Did you notice me sneaking my ironing in with yours Keiss? I've not done mine yet. Will have to do it tonight sigh
  • Right- the beginning of a new week and I have bought what I hope to be my weekly ration of diet coke!!

1.25L bottles are a third of in Mr S, so I bought 4 of them. I usually take a can to work each day, but I found smaller bottles (250ml) which I bought instead- even though they work out slightly more expensive. One reason is that I don't often finish a whole can on my tea-break at school, so it ends up flat and getting thrown away. I was also thinking that I could refill from a bigger bottle and save myself a bit!

So if I drink the whole lot in the week it will be 7L!!! Having said that, I often throw some of the bigger bottles away when they go a bit flat, and I am sure DD or DH will also help themselves. I am also planning to have some of the small bottles left for work next week :p

I think I follow your thinking Susie. The main thing is it works for you. :D

I'm almost at the end of my 3rd coke free day. Keep your fingers crossed for me...
