Thought I would try it for a while and see how I get on. Am expecting headaches etc, but it will be interesting to see whether after that I lose the cravings for diet coke.
Well, I have only drunk 2 cans today- probably the least I have drunk in months. I just don't like the caffeine free as much, and so since it's all I have, I'm not bothered about having any more today. I have 10 more cans of caffeine free, will have to make the decision whether to carry on with it afterwards.

Still on the caffeine free- and still don't like it much!! I am a little bit headachey and lethargic, but can't put that down to the lack of caffeine with any certainty!!:p

I've had just the one can so far today. I had a bad weekend though and lost count of how many cans I drank
Still, that means that I've got no more fizzy in so I'm going to be brave and try to go for 3 cans in total this week  I think I'm going to be re-filling the squash jug quite a lot this week! The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

Sorry I've not been on much people, I am thinking of you though... I get very busy at the start of the week and often can't get on during the day and am out Tuesday evenings...Keep it up everyone...you're all doing so well :T:T
We now have NO cola or fizzy juice in the house....don't plan on getting any more for a while we'll see how we get on!
Have a great Sunday everyone.

I've drunk 6 lts at home in the past 2 weeks so that was fine, but then had 3 glasses on Tuesday when I was at Salsa and tonight at pizza hut.
Somebody give me a kick up the bum0 -

I'm getting used to it!! Can't say I like it as much though, but that's fine- it means I'm not drinking as much. It has been 2 cans a day so far this week, rather than 3. I haven't noticed any caffeine withdrawal symptoms particularly, which is good.
Not sure where I go from here, but it's an improvementSave £12k in 2021: Jan £1834.40, Feb £1692.810 -
Just popping in to say hello and see how you're all doing - and brilliantly is the answer. Very impressed at the progress:T:T:T
I've cut down on my tea consumption as well, so with you in spirit. I've started drinking lemon and ginger tea again, stopped it for a while and went back to "proper" tea, back on it again now.:D
Well done everyone:T:T:T:TThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Hi all!
I'm really going for the overhaul now it's a new year it seems lol.
I'm not much of a coke drinker, unless it's mixed with a shot or two of whiskey, but I do tend to drink about 6 or 7 cups of tea a day at least. It's not like I'm spending loads on my little caffeine addiction as I only buy the 26p value teabags from MrT, but I'd like to reduce all my injested toxins at much as I can
I realised the amount I was drinking the other day and thought about cutting down, but seeing this thread has made me want to put that plan into practice. I'm going to cut down to just 2 cups of tea a day at most - one in the morning and one in the evening, and eventually cut it down to just one or possibly none. Will be interesting to see if I do get any withdrawal symptoms from the caffeine.::: Total Paid Since LBM (27/05/10): £4639.85 Official Debt Gone!! :T ::::AThat money talks, I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"~ VSP2011: #104 ~

Welcome to the fold, I'll add you to the main list. I started buying caffeine free tea bags and limiting myself to just one cup of caffeinated per day. Let me know how you're getting on.solventsoon wrote: »Just popping in to say hello and see how you're all doing - and brilliantly is the answer. Very impressed at the progress:T:T:T

Well done Spoony, thanks for popping over.0 -
Can I join too? I don't drink tea or coffee but currently drink at least 2 x 330ml cans of diet coke per day - sometimes 3 - at lunch time and break time at work and then "unlimited" glasses at home before/during/after dinner in the evening. At weekends if we haven't opened a bottle of wine, I will think nothing of sitting with a bottle of diet coke by the side of the couch while watching a film. Or if I am in the pub, I drink Vodka with.... guess what? Yup - diet coke! I drink plenty water at work (in between diet coke of course) so by the time I get home I am sort of sick of the sight of it. What do you think would be a reaslistic target? 1 can per day during the week, 1 on a Friday night and 2 on a Saturday and Sunday? That would be 10 per week. Is that still too much?
Was quite naughty last week as we were on holiday but while we were away I did a test and subesquently found out that I am in what they used to call a "delicate situation" so since I wasn't able to have wine or spirits, I was *forced* to drink diet coke! Now we are home and my husband has become "Diet Coke Police" and is forcng me to cut down. Help!!!!Marie
