  • I hate moussaka bleurgh! I have tried to have a nap, my head is thumping, but got dosturbed by a man coming to fix the drainpipe, then the OH phoned and then I had to go fetch the boys, so I think I will go do that now, they are having their one hour on the electronics time. Bargainbird are you still doing your paid ironing? I have been thinking of looking for someone to keep on top of mine, how much should I expect to pay - yes I do realise you're too far away :rotfl:

  • I made moussaka once, a similar recipe but I used Quorn mince and soya yoghurt as substitutes. I liked it, but DH wasn't keen at all. :o:rotfl:
  • Lily how do I explain the meaning of the word perception to an eleven year old boy, I cannot think straight. No sleep for me, we have piles of homework to get through tonight :(

I would explain that perception is how you see things. How he perceives things could be different to you. For example, he might perceive an hour of playing games is being stingy, but you perceive it as being generous. :D

    Does that sound right? :o
  • Thanks very much, I did say its how you see things but just couldn't come up with an example :o he says to tell you that his perception would of course be right though :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: That made me chuckle, cheeky little devil! :D

ETA: I'm off home at 5pm, but if you need any more help text me later, I'm a football widow tonight!
  • He is, I fear he's got my sense of humour, poor boy! I'll be in touch later anyway ;)

Afternoon everyone - goodness forgot I'd started this this morning - seems an awfully long time ago! Breakfast meeting was OK - just felt nice to be a bit more business like after several years of being Mum! Sorted out freezer and have something (think its beef stew) for tea tonight. Thinking I might make it with wedges / chips as can't be bothered with a lot. Stil feel very tired as if I'm getting over something, but couldn't put my finger on what it was.

Very interesting to see how OH is dealing with the children (this being his first day as a SAH Dad!!) I think he emptied the dishwasher, but hasn't thought about Mount washing - so have put another load on. Everything still in limbo as we wait for the builders to do their stuff - if we've not heard anything by 5 tonight I'll pop and see them and ask them whats happening when. Got a great deal on some in car DVD screens - £10!!! So will go and get them in a tick and see if I can get some heat resistant paint for the fire surround.

Right, better go and gee up kids to get OH to take them swimming. Have a nice evening all xx
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Glad you are enjoying work - Have they paid you yet?
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Feel so tired today! Washing has been on and drying, been jogging/shredding/swimming/walking, with probably another walk later, and I'm looking forward to my dinner (sweet and sour chicken). Had a good day food-wise and sped-wise (NSD as I had money ot pay for swimming on me) and it should be NSD's up until about Monday/Tuesday, maybe longer.
    ** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **
    ** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
    **SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.
