  • Hi Posted my mobile on the 6th of January. They finally confirmed receipt on the 23rd.
In the interim I had submitted a price match request as ASDA were offering £3 more, but they never responded.

Today they have responded by offering me 10% less for my mobile in absolutely perfect condition.

I will never use them again for sure.
  • Got quoted £230 for my 16gb iPhone 4S. Sent it off via special delivery and got a message today that there is cosmetic damage and they will only pay me £207. Have pointed out that my phone has been in a griffin survivor case (brilliant case) since I got it. Before I sent the phone in I took it out the case examined it (was like new) then put it back in the case and sent it off. Have told them to have another look as I'm not excepting their verdict. I will post their reply.
  • O2 refuse to accept blame that they damaged my phone. They apparently destroy all cases the second they turn up. Don't use O2 recycle. If you do take photos of your phone first. I've just had to accept it as I had no evidence my phone was in mint condition and if it comes back damaged as it no doubt will without case then I'll get even less off another site. DON'T USE O2 RECYCLE!!!!!!
  • I sent my apple 3gs phone to O2 and they sent it back damaged saying that it would not accept a charge, i tried charging it and it was fine.

Also they only sent it back once i had complained a couple of times

They gave no feedback or help - rubbish service, do not use!
  • Please dont even bother with this its a scam. i sent them my iphone 4s 16gb in mint condition with a quoted price of 230 pounds i have received an email today quoting a price of 57 pounds claiming there are software faults, and the buttons not working. Which is not true.
Overall a bad experience from this company.

    Josh
  • Be warned!! Went in to the shop and they offered over £200 for my i-phone 4s.

I then received a text to say it had been devalued with no reason by a MASSIVE 80%!!

The phone was perfect, at the most I would have expected a 10% reduction in price

I sent my iPhone 4 to O2 on Friday and the money was in my bank account on Tuesday (the day they received the phone as Monday was a Bank Holiday)

Full price. No quibbling. Very happy!
  • I've always had excellent service from O2 Recycle - I've even had a phone I marked as broken (as it had a relatively small chip in the pastic covering) upgraded to the 'full' unbroken price once they received it.

I was compelled to post due to the pretty obvious "users" above. Funny how all those saying how bad it is have only ever posted on MSE once or twice whilst those with a track record of posting have never been let down. Remember anybody can sign up for an MSE account - including O2 Recycle's competitors.

I would avoid O2 if at all possible. Perfect but old model Nokia sent off to them. £15 valuation reduced to £3 for "smashed screen" which it, of course, didn't have.
Not really worth an argument so having them send it back.

And I am pretty sure the others wouldn't have done it from previous experience.
    Highly recommended!
A few chips off every edge.
