We watched the one this week. We made brownies on Tuesday and out the Oreos in it (got them on special offer at local shop). The brownies were lovely and barely lasted a day.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500

I'm watching episode 3 at the moment on iPlayer. For some reason I like this episode better than the previous two.
She's making mac & cheese which (to my mind anyway) isn't really baking. But it looks yummy all the same.0 -

Not a big fan of oreos here so I wondered about what other bics I could use. Have both plain and milk choc digestives as well as non chocolate digestives and rich teas. Or I could just add chopped chocolate I suppose?

I have watched the programme and found it very good .She seems a nice bright, bubbly person and a little less pretentious that some of the t.v. cooks. The recipes seem to be fairly easy for people to follow ,if a little on the expensive side for some of them I am not a great sweet cake person but the Doris Grant loaf looks nice.Probably delicious with soup. She also has a nice big smile which seems to be quite genuine and her manner is pleasant.I can't abide Nigella with her slighly snooty down the nose look although I am sure her recipes are good they too tend to be a tad on the dear side.
When I see a new cook on t.v. I always try to think of things I could do that the ingrediants wouldn't cost as much as they were suggesting. After all we are all tightening our belts a bit. Some of the cake recipes I would never make as they would be far too sweet for me anyway. But on the whole the programme is entertaining and informative which is what you want to see on a t.v. cookery programme.0 -
