I liked her but not sure of the content, as others have said, will give her another week or two. Those choc cigarillos are gross, sis bought me a birthday cake with them all around the side - I picked them all off and threw then away! - really spoilt the cake for me; would have been great if it had been cadbury choc fingers

is she an ex model because she's been testing too many of her cakes?:D

    I hope thats a joke:eek:

Me too, and an aprn...but also often big rings. I find big rings enhance the red faced just leant over the oven (with my arm on a flour-y bench) look.

    :)

I'm not earning much new, but its nice, she's nice, fresh and not pretentious. And incredibly beautiful and watchable.

I wanted to make those skinny tarts. and the cheat's sundried tomatoes palmier.

Picked up some good tips today so I'll watch if I'm around when it's on. I don't think she actually eats all that she bakes though.

Watched again - not bad and some nice ideas. Nothing much else to say really. Ive always wanted to have a go with filo pastry! I remember watching Jamie making mince pies in the same style

I watched in iPlayer this morning. Thought the little filo tarts were quite a good idea - although you need loads of melted butter to work with filo pastry so maybe not as healthy as they appear! I might try her flapjack recipe.

Still think it was a bit insipid but anything that gets people to start baking has to be good, right?

i couldn't actually believe the flapjacks were just oats though! mine have as many nuts seeds I can fit in, as well as a little dried fruit if i have it. No suggestion of how to vary it or soup it up ?!

Insipid is a good word for the programme. I liked the idea of the wartime bread though

Quite liked the show although she is no Nigella. I consider myself a fairly competent cook but I am always open to new ideas. My son loves brownies so definitely going to give those a go:)

I always keep some in in case i don't have fresh lemons. Then i can always make butter milk (providing i have milk of course!)
