i didnt really think the programme lived up to its name, a bland really
I still think Delia's complete cookery course offers the best ,basic advice on baking0 -
I watched it but wasn't that keen. The one thing I did love was that baking shop she went in to! I really want to go! I'm guessing it is in London, does anyone know?0

I enjoyed it and learnt a few things.
I'll be making the soda bread soon,can't wait.0 -
I enjoyed it, mainly because she wasn't pretending to eat her food and turn it into a pseudo cookery show (ala ms dahl, nigella, etc)
Also, she had her nails cut short, no nail polish, no big rings, and hair tied back. How many of us look like nigella when we're cooking??0 -

Im usually really stressed out and covered in icing sugar!***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0 -
It was the pastry that worried me! It looked so short and crumbly and if 'she' had difficulty getting it in to the flan case then it would be a nightmare for beginners.
There are simpler recipes for shortcrust pastry ( I was a home ec teacher so I am all too aware of the problems!) and Im afraid that some cooks would end up doing a great deal of the 'patching' she went on about.0 -

I thought the programme was great! Mainly because I'm no cook and a "cheat's guide" is so much more my style!
I'll be watching!0
