I agree. It was all maybe just a little bit bland. Not sure I'll watch it again, there's nothing new there for me really, but I do think it's a good idea for a programme.0 -
I quite liked it, and I am desperate to make that chocolate cake! But then I love baking anyway. I liked the tips on how to make pastry as well, too often cookery programmes assume you know how to do all that so it was nice to see how it's done."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0

For me, it fell between two different concepts. In some ways it was a "how to cheat at baking" programme (and nothing wrong with that) but, in other ways it was a programme for beginners that didn't really teach anyone anything.0

I love baking and she did a few good recipes I thought the cigerellos on the cake could have been replaed by chocolate finger biscuits or even matchmakers , just as yummy
I looked on line for those - £20+ for 700gs about enough for 2 cakes!:eek::eek:
I love your suggestions. I had though of chocolate fingers but not matchmakers, YUMMY!Put the kettle on.0 -
Haven't yet watched it (digi-boxed it) but give it a chance....just coz she isn't Nigella, Hugh, Jamie or the guy of the Great British Bake-Off, you shouldn't knock it yet!!0
