  • Hi Peoonie, sorry to hear it's been a tricky Christmas. It is frustrating when family don't join in and help.

I hope all goes well with your tests x x x

I feel very lucky that when I had family about they were fairly self-sufficient and pulled their weight.

I hope the tests go ok

Thanks ladies. Hopefully we'll get the results before this months peak. It would have been my due date this week so have been a bit teary.

Since going back to work I bought a lot of sell by food. I managed to get £4.50 of break products for 50p. My P is now self-employed and met me one night after work so I showed him how to check the shop aisles for cheap food. He's got 2 jobs booked in so far, no money in yet and he's quoted for quite a few jobs. It's early days but he's happy.

I don't think I posted my December signature, here it is:

Rainy day fund: £12,000/£12,000, achieved 100%.
    12k in 2012 challenge no. 168:
    £5,820/£4,000, achieved 149%.
    Mortgage now:
December 2012, at £146,800, end date May 2036.
    Mortgage at its highest:
July 2011, at £154,000, end date July 2036.

In December I saved £760 and at the beginning of this month I paid £20.23 off the mortgage to make it a nice round number. Here's my soon to be changed January signature:

Rainy day fund: £12,000/£12,000, achieved 100%.
    12k in 2012 challenge no. 168:
    £6,580/£4,000, achieved 165%.
    Mortgage now:
January 2013, at £146,400, end date May 2036.
    Mortgage at its highest:
July 2011, at £154,000, end date July 2036.

I am really pleased to have FINALLY reached our rainy day target and to have surpassed my savings target. With 2012 behind us it's time for the old challenges to go and the new to be added. I'll be adding MFiT3 (reduce mortgage to £125,000) and my sunny day (maternity) fund (savings of £3,416).

    MFiT3 #86: Reduce mortgage from £146,800 to £125,000
    Mortgage Sept 2014: £135,500, MF Oct 2035 Peak July 2011: £154,000, MF July 2036

Yesterday I went for some fertility blood tests. Hopefully they will provide some answers as to why I'm not getting pregnant.
I got my test results back. A couple were high so I've been referred to a specialist but it could be 3 months until the appointment :(. Shuffles off to do some research...
