Well, I checked my bank accounts and interest was not credited - yet. Why is it still in this day and age the banks wait for a Monday, when the 1st is on a weekend, to credit accounts? December's mortgage payment is also not showing; I wonder if it will appear on Monday as well. Don't they know that people want to overpay.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Do banking things on a none-banking day, P? Surely not!Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

Hi P,
Good luck for your interview - hope the jacket gives you a little extra confidence! You'll be fine. Get a friend to fire interview questions at you randomly and try to answer seriously, it's good practice.
Yeah why can't the do it at the weekend... if you make an online banking transfer between two accounts it appears that instant!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
Thanks for the encouragement MC & MRN.
I have a stinking cold so have not felt up to much revision. I'll try again in a few minutes.
Shhh, I bought Mr P's big Xmas present today.
Here is my signature:
Rainy day fund: £12,000/£12,000, achieved 100%.
12k in 2012 challenge no. 168: £5,820/£4,000, achieved 149%.
Mortgage now: November 2012, at £146,800, end date May 2036.
Mortgage at its highest: July 2011, at £154,000, end date July 2036.
This month I overpaid the mortgage by £10.98 to take it down to £146,800.00. Only a few more months to go :rotfl:.

Well, he's gone and done it. Mr P handed in his notice. He is going freelance and will approach a few agencies to hopefully get some work while he builds up his client base.
He joined L+nk3d +n, a people by the hour site, wrote his CV and sent it to an agency. He's currently putting together his portfolio.
So what does it mean for our MFW dreams? At the moment I really do not know. Other than MFiT-T3 I have not joined any new challenges as I do not know what, if any, spare cash we will have. My wages will not cover our bills. So I think we will have to take it a month at a time.
At least we have our rainy day and maternity savings that we can dip into.
I have told Mr P, that when, thinking positively, he has some extra cash it will have to go back into the saving pots rather than a new car.
At the moment I am strangely calm. Though I may freak out a bit next month when he does not have a job.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Exciting times, I hope it works out really well for you guys... i know you mentioned in March that he was unhappy in his job so if this makes him happier in the long run then all the better xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Good luck Mr P, very exciting times for you :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Wow a bold step but from what I've seen of friends and colleagues who have been brave enough to take the risk, it's completely paid off for them (and then some!).
Hope you are well...MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0
