Hi, sorry I've had my hands a bit full to post! We had a baby boy a month ago. He is perfect and I love him to bits. I am well but a bit sleep deprived. Mr P is amazing and has been my rock.

    How did I miss this?!

    Many congratulations Peonie & Mr P :)

Hi everyone and thanks for your messages. Motherhood is getting easier and I'm getting out. We walk a lot, mainly to the local town that is just over 3kms away. We have to pay for most of the baby activities which is a bit of a pain.

I've still been oping the mortgage down to the next hundred but at the beginning of the year took the leap and paid over £1000 off. Now I'm paying pennies off each month to round it down to the next £25. We've knocked a few months off the mortgage. I'd love to pay off more but this month my wages dropped.

I braved the next sale on Boxing Day to get Baby Boy a lot of clothes, I've got him things off eBay and local mutton hm markets.

I really need to update my signature and work out my finances for the year.

    What have I missed?

    Hi P :) *waves*

Not sure what you've missed, I've not been around much. Good to hear that you're getting out and doi g things. Going to a next sale is indeed brave - I've never done it! :D sadly most groups and activities are paid for things, but I find free groups are usually few and far between.

If your income has just dropped then it sounds like doing some finances might be a good idea :)

Ha I've not been to mutton markets but mum to mum markets. Don't you just love it when the computer changes what you typed.

  • Hi Peonie!

    Congrats on your baby boy!
I have also been getting to grips with motherhood for the first time. My little daughter was born 8 weeks ago! As you say, it is getting easier all the time, but I am also feeling sleep deprived and the finances are in a bit of a tailspin! You are doing wonderfully with your mortgage ops! :-)
