Peonie's journey to smart money management

Thanks Pavlovs. For the first two and a half years I held up quite well. But in the last 6 months it's definitely a lot lot harder. Yep, distressing.
Now onto money.
I've been paid. Money has been moved around to fill up the 2 current accounts. The excess (£30) was moved into the ISA. SOA is kinda up-to-date. Meaning I have to input the shopping I've paid for in cash.
We nearly had a weekend of NSDs but Mr P nipped to the local shop for milk and apple sauce to go with our pork loin. We're been decorating. There's still a lot to do but we're a step closer to the toilet room being finished.

Hugs Peonie. TTC can be stressful and frustrating a lot sooner than two and a half years - I think you're amazing to have lasted that long before getting fed up. :A
Hoping & praying you get your appointment soon and they can do something straightforward that works. (Or that you never have to go to the appointment because it all happens naturally while you're waiting.)Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Hi, I will write properly soon and will reply to your comments. I have been making a baby gift for a friend and she's visiting with her family today! And the gift is still not finished. I've not seen her in a year. I'm glad I don't have PMS or I would shed a few tears. Must remember: do not fall in love with her baby. That's bad news.
I'll try to get onto the computer tonight or tomorrow to post.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

I have a medical condition that reduces fertility in some, plus I'm in my thirties. So in that way I expected it to take a while but as I've friends who got pregnant quickly so I also expected it to just, kind of, happen.
I also hope it happens before the appointment. I am scared [STRIKE]if[/STRIKE] when I get pregnant again I will have another miscarriage.icontinuetodream wrote: »hope that everything goes okay
My mum was sweet. She said I should have IVF and she would pay for it. I explained IVF is the last stage and also the most expensive. I think she was a bit shocked when I told her a single blood test could cost between £50 and £120 and a scan could be a couple of hundred. I would rather use our savings before we took theirs. Hopefully I won't get to the IVF stage and other medication will do the trick.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

It took a few evenings but I think I've sorted out the calculation problem on January's SOA. It seems £50 disappeared. Anyway, January was good, I saved £695 and of course paid just over £20 off the mortgage. We really cut back, I opted out of a couple of socialising events but still went to the no-cost ones. I don't think I used my car at all. Work was taxing this week and I've been coming home with headaches.
The February mortgage payment has gone and I've overpaid the mortgage by £19.36. Taking the mortgage to £146,000.00. How I love all those pretty zeros lined up. We also have reached an interest per day milestone - £9.99. :j I hope it never goes above £10 again.
My signature is:
Sunny day fund (12k in 2013) no. 114: £695/£3,416, achieved 24%.
MFiT3 no. 86: Reduce mortgage from £146,800 to £125,000.
Mortgage now: February 2013, at £146,000, end date May 2036.
Mortgage at its highest: July 2011, at £154,000, end date July 2036.
I think February will be expensive so don't expect the savings to be as good. It's been 3 1/2 years since I got my phone. Even though I think it should still work, well, it doesn't. So a chunk will go towards that. Plus I need to look for some new work clothes. On Friday I had to resort to wearing a pair of trousers that were a size too big! We're cancelling L0ve F1lm this month and moving over to Netfl1cks.

Hi NG,
Haven't you moved over to interest only? Otherwise I'm sure you would have wiped the floor with me. Where are you up to?
