I'm on io and saving at the moment, have included it in my challenge targets but to be honest I feel like oping it already and it's only the first month. we currently owe about £146,250 ish I think ( too cosy in bed to get up and look!) and we have £850 in savings , which is the only savings we have ever hadMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

OP was the dilemma I had when I was only saving. Now I enjoy my nominal payments but I do wish they were more. I've spent the last 30 minutes playing with my spreadsheet.
What are the savings for? Loft extension, rainy day? I need to know I have some money in the bank in case things go wrong.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Today was slightly productive. We've done a bit more painting, moved the Christmas decs back up into the attic and spent an hour in the garden tidying up. The ground is sodden. Some of the plants I hate are coming up again. I'll need to attack them before they take hold for another year. Last year I stopped myself spending £20 on bulbs. I wish I had bought them now.
I've finally succumbed to joining P1nterest. I don't know why I didn't before. I used to cut out pictures of homes I loved and made home inspiration scrap books. It should make it easier to decorate our new home and plan the garden.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Hi Peonie, the savings are for a overpayments, moving (can't afford to live in a bigger house in our area anyway), or a loft conversion which we probably won't get the money back for if we do move because of the stamp duty threshold.
Well done on getting under £10 , who are you with? We are paying £13.70 ish if I remember rightly.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
We are with H$BC. The interest rate is 2.49% including BoE base rate at 70% LTV.
I forget to report NSDs but today was one. Also it was another packed lunch day. Since Christmas I've had one non-packed lunch day; when Mr P had a work thing near to where I work and took me out for lunch.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

No way am I putting you to shame. We're all doing well.
I went out for lunch today. Good company but the food was not worth the price.
The hospital phoned and my first FS appointment is in 2 weeks. I'm happy, I thought I'd have to wait 3 months until I saw someone.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

'Ello,
It's been a nearly been a week since my last update.
On Wednesday to Friday I took a packed lunch to work and NSDs.
We've been busy decorating again. So far we've been using what we have in stock but we'll need a trip to the store this weekend for more supplies. At least we can do this decorating ourselves and save a bit of money.
We had a lovely meal with friends; they treated us to thank Mr P for his help. We got the train there and back and other than 1 or 2 rounds of drink it was quite a cheap night out. Plus it was lovely to catch up with them. Then yesterday we had my family round for Sunday dinner. It was the most stress-free meal I've ever cooked.
We're canceling L0veF1lm this month. We've just got Netfl1cks. It's not bad but there are very few new films on but at least we can choose when we want to watch them.
Buying a new mobile phone is postponed to next month. Mr T doesn't have the phone I want. I have found a good deal for Mr P though. And I'm not sure I'll be buying new work wear when the clothes I have feel a bit snug.
Recently I've been working long hours and plus the decorating I have managed to keep up with diaries but not post on them. Sorry folks.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120
