  • OMG! I can not believe how stressed out I'm getting about this Boots sale! TBH I can't wait for it to be over, I think I may be going slightly crazy, I hate Boots for doing this to us and I'm thinking I'll give up on this sale and spend my money elsewhere but for some reason I'm hooked and I want my Boots bargins lol!

I've been reading the posts on here all the time for the last few day's and like you guy's was convinced it was going to happen yesterday, so me and a friend headed for seperate boots stores at 9am yesterday. I wasn't suprised when I got to my local boots (Basingstoke) and found everything still only 50% and a very nice sa told me they thought it was gonna be yesterday but didn't no when it would be. Imagiane my shock when my friend txt's me from her local store (Andover) and say's they've just put the new sign's up and it's 75% there ! After many txt's to confirm it's true she say's only 1 aisle of stuff but all 75% off. When she paid the sa had to overide the till as still came up at 50% but got 75% of everything. So, I think there's hope for all other store's as surely when head office find out they'll have to let others follow suit. As you can see this is my first post and I wasn't going to put this on here as didn't no if people would believe me but this is 100% genuine.

Sounds like what happened last year. Because stores thought the sale was yesterday - if they didn't read the email from HO late Tues night they will still have thought it was on!
There's a skinny woman inside me screaming to be let out. A cookie soon shuts her up!!! :rotfl:
  • Its so unfair, they need to put it on urgently to keep other customers happy
  • Still 50% in stockport and manchester :mad::mad:

It's wrecking my head too, I've been spending way too much time checking the Boots threads on here:(

  • THIS is my first post WOOOP!!
I felt it was only fair i put my two penny worth after reading this post for what seems like my whole life.
This morning, i called Boots-Oxford street, after a good 10 minutes some one picked up. Apperently there may be a sale on tomorrow, but they are not a 100%
so i called now and another person picked up she said the same as above.
I then called another boots-straight away the man said no- really fast.
i think we should use our common sense and not listen to 'boots SA' who post saying there is no sale. we know there is a sale. Instead of staying up all night-wake up in the morning and just check-we know its likely to be before next friday!!
it may or may not be tomorrow!!! luckily i have a day of uni! ahhhhhhhh

Everything still at 50% in Shrewsbury and the place is looking scruffy. Empty aisles between sale stuff and baby clothes waiting for spring/summer stock. Stuff strewn everywhere in sale aisle. I did ask 2 different SA if they knew anything about a date for the 75% sale but both looked blankly at me at first and then spluttered 'there is no 75% sale this year!'. There's about 7 Fearne hat boxes, lots of subbuteo stuff, girly toiletry sets, AA stuff and weenicon ranges but not alot else - NO GOK left. Nothing like it was last year, where I spent the #100 I'd saved up over the year on Christmas and Birthday presents for the next 12/18 months and was ecstatic with my bargains. Now, I doubt I'd buy more than a couple of bits even at 75% off as there's hardly anything there, certainly only a couple of toys (those cottage garden thingys mainly and supercook whizzy blender thing!). I've still got a few toys from last year's sale thank goodness to go towards birthdays this year.
Online, I have my favourites tagged but when I was going through the sale items again, nearly all of the 'In Stock' items I clicked on came up with 'Discontinued' and I couldn't add them to the basket. DON"T SHOW THEM AS IN STOCK THEN!!!!!
BOOOOOOOO Mr Boots! You are letting us down! I'm not going to shop at Boots this year if I can help it if this is how you treat your loyal customers, Home Bargains is cheaper and they do good cheap ranges of toys too, even if they don't do a 'Sale' as such, prices are really low. Boots is going to see a downturn in their sales IMO for 2011 driven by disgruntled MSE followers! Sainsburys and Tescos are going to do better in their 50% toy sales too I'm betting, where people shop elsewhere than Boots on principle!!!

Sorry for the rant, but Boots 75% sale is usually my main stock of good quality presents for my kids, godchildren and nieces/nephews etc. They won't be getting quite so much next Christmas/Birthday now! :(
