next years presents are usually wrapped, labelled, boxed and safely deposited in my loft by now. I have developed a victim persona, i want something and boots won't give it to me. Never Ever will i shop at boots if they dont reduce to 75% soon. All the ladies iv'e spoken to feel the same.

exactly... we spend our money in there throughout the year, so to me, this should be our little bonus as a thank you for shopping with them, lol... will b gutted if they dnt have 1!! xx

Really.....? You are a stronger person than me if you can do this. The only way I can not go in 'just to check' is to not leave my office at lunchtime and not go anywhere near the shops, LOL!

I managed it today:T lol, one thing I noticed as I walked past sticking my tongue out at the shop:D They've removed the huge 1/2 price sale sign out of the window. Unless you go in you wouldn't know they were even having a sale.
  • Had deliveries today from Debenhams and Yankeescents4u. Pick up some great free Yankee candles and got a few items to put away from Debenhams
If boots do not have there sale soon all my money will be spend elsewhere!!!!

The odd thing is that in the press after christmas there was a lot of stuff about bigger reductions because of the impending VAT rise and the amount of stock left due to the bad weather.
Yet here we are seeing Boots do the opposite and hanging on to stock for dear life. We all know that retailers like to move old stock on asap because it is dead money hanging around otherwise, so why would they cancel a 75% off sale when there are pockets of stores with a lot of stock?
My OH (a Boots SA) has now overheard a conversation that it will be very short notice when it is to go ahead so the plot thickens. If it does go ahead, you can only draw your own conclusions as to why some staff are saying it wont happen this year etc. Have they got staff on here doing it on purpose? Even OH and colleagues think its a complete joke what they are doing.
Staff arent even allowed to use discount for the 75% sale for the first time this year. Now why say that for a sale that isnt going to happen???

  • I think that some SA just say there isn't going to be one for the fact of all the speculation going on about it. I went in there today and just wanted to buy it all, but didnt..... They have also made my boots card invailed and been saying all my points up for the sale and now i cant even use them!!:eek::eek:

Do you have a recent receipt with your points balance? I am not sure of how you go about sorting this but i am sure there are plenty of posters who will advise you. I would not let it rest until i got every point, and more for the inconvenience, back.

What reason have you been given for your card being invalid?
