It's wrecking my head too, I've been spending way too much time checking the Boots threads on here:(

I know what you mean, its doing my head in. I want to say "you don`t need anything" but I cannot help it I love so many of the boots items as I have a lot of teenager to buy for. They always know they get a nice present from me, what am I going to do?

Did get a couple of things in the 50% sale, but will be taking them back if I can get hold of them in the 75% sale if there is one
  • at this rate not only have i bought/wrapped ready 4 birthdays etc for this year i am now well in2 nxt year!!just 1 prob....i keep 4getting 2 keep some stuff 4 me!!!!
  • popped tinto Norwich Chapelfield today and they had loads of sale stock still. The shelves were full so presume they have more stock out the back as literally couldnt get anyting else on the shelves. HOWEVER I DID NOTICE - They did have poster notices "behind" the existing sale notices showing half price. A couple were not put in properly so you could partially read the sign behind - definately said sale in smaller writing but couldn't see the percentage off! So maybe they were preparing for the 75% sale ????!!!! Who knows. Would seem they were preparing for something - my brain thinks put the new sale notices behind the old ones that way they could whip the 50% off one easily and they were ready for the 75% sale ??!! There was a sales assistant putting stock on the shelves so I couldnt get nearer to the sign - if she had moved the "cage" I could have got nearer and checked it out !

has anyone else totally lost the will to live with all this speculation?

i am so exhausted with a full time job, 3 kids and squeezing in popping in to boots every other day and setting my alarm at 3am every morning -jut in case-that i don' think i'll have any energy left to get through the stampedes when sale actually comes (or i might be in the middle of a power nap and miss it)!
GRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED

Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!
  • I don't for 1 minute believe boots head office don't know when the 75% sale is, how could a such huge successful company be so disorganized, it wouldn't be allowed. Of course they know exactly what they are doing, being greedy that's what!!
  • How do you know what will be on 75% off online???thank you in advance x

I shopped in the smaller branch of Boots in the Buttermarket Ipswich last year, when they did the final reductions so to speak. Definetely better value and was still quite a selection left. So fingers crossed I can do the same this year. Will post if I see any further reductions in store.

I really wouldnt bother going there this year if i was you...

I popped in there the other day (Wednesday) and they literally had one very small shelf load of stuff left over, the whole back wall which was were the gifts were pre-xmas was already being filled with sun tan lotion!

Ooooh hello by the way, its great to see a fellow Ipswicher here!
  • Went into Boots in Oxford today. Quite a lot of stuff on the shelves but still 50% off. As with many stores no one was interested as still waiting for 75% I assume . Did not buy anything from reduced shelves but did quite well with offers. I was looking at some FCUK stuff and thought I might buy a bodyspray. I just thought I would put my card into the advantage card machine. There was an offer of 200 extra points if you bought 2 items of one fragrance of FCUK. I went back and picked up the bodyspray and a small shower wash. Then I noticed on the shelf below that if you spent more than £4 on FCUK you got a free mini pamper kit that was on the shelf for £8.45 so I added that to my basket. So I ended up with 200 free points, a free gift and got a £5.00 voucher for Ruby and Millie into the bargain!

Yes I have totally lost it too, even slept with the laptop last night so I can log on at 6am!! I have even practised my route/kids drop off/parking in the event of it happening suddenly one day!!! Now that is dedication, especially for stuff I am planning to give away :rotfl:
