  • I was in a town today where all the sale stuff (was on two floors yesterday ie... home type stuff, jamie oliver, toys etc upstairs, ladies, gents gifts downstairs) has been moved to one area and added to significantly with extra deliveries today there was shed loads of stuff.
I only went in yesterday to book an eye test and again today to get it done as I was in the area, and I was horrified at how much had appeared overnight.

    Makes you wonder !
There were also zoots in suits in a huddle
  • Not everyone subscribes to this site so they are still making lots of half price sales and they do have to shift it to make way for mothers day stuff at full price surely ?
    Or am I missing something

.........What's everyone after? Am I missing something? My local store has loads of stocked shelves but nothing I'd really buy. Mainly Weenicons, Strictly and other stuff I'm not sure I'd want even at a 75% reduction. Each year I've spent hundreds in the Boots sale as it's been good but now I can't see what the excitement is. There was no S&G stocked and hardly any toys.

I want some Royal Jelly Handwash/Cream which at £2 will be a cracking price :) I also like to buy the hair sets (Mark Hill etc) and wrap the contents separately for stocking fillers. (The boxes are tattered by now!)

As for us shopping else where i doubt it. Where else could you get all these gifts before xmas? Boots looked like they had the biggest selection (to me anyway). And im sure every year they repackage what doesnt get used. Take the sancutuary sets. They sell the full size and travel size bottles anyway!

    Last years 75% sale :p

Seriously though - I bought nothing in Boots 3 for 2 over Xmas as TBH everything I looked at I thought 'Is it really WORTH that? Even in it's xmassy Gift Box layout' and decided no it wasn't. Take the Mark Hill gift set I mentioned above - @ £10 its was NOT worth it, @ £5 it's so-so but I can get bigger (true - non-branded) versions in £land but @ £2.50 I'm happy to pay for.

However, therein lies the problem for Boots! How many other people are NOT buying because they think 'yeah it's ok but I'll wait until its 75% off'

I genuinely forget sometimes that there are people who don't buy all their xmas gifts in January and actually pay full price for things :D

Does anyone know what the stocks are like at Teesside Park or Stockton high street? Also what time do they open on sale day?
    Thank you in advance.
